This club has been so poorly managed. Put too many blokes in for surgery with not enough time to recover properly, playing blokes injured, selecting blokes injured, too many unfit and clearly not preparing the list in a manner that will be competitive. Viney and TMac played injured early last year, they left Joel Smith on the ground in JLT when he couldn't even move, Jetta was clearly injured and we selected and played him, Jones and Viney weren't ready round 1, KK was nowhere near ready, May was unfit and got injured straight away and we players injury time frames just keep blowing out. And we look completely cooked on the field where you have to question wtf we were doing preseason! Such an amateur club!!

Didn't see it myself but someone on Demonland said that on the pre game show for Hawks v Cats it was reported that Steven May had a 'major setback' with his groin injury and is not expected back until July...

There's no way he could (or should) have played out the game with a torn meniscus.

SO either the club has completely mismanaged him and played him out the game with a torn meniscus or he has suffered it at what a training session today/yesterday? Steven May has had a setback also?

Lol I just keep being proven right.

My theory would be that there wasn't a 'major setback' and that it was always this bad given my above analysis. May has been at least 2 weeks away for 5 weeks. Latest report from last Tuesday was increased from 2-3 to 2-4.

As I keep saying, we're either crap at managing injuries, blatantly lie to members about them or the unluckiest team in the history and future of world sport.

Most certainly the former

On the Jetta injury, it happened in the second quarter when one of the saints players slid in and his knee got caught.. & anyone saying he shouldn’t have played out the game with a meniscus tear, well that’s just crap.. It’s actually fine to play with, people do it all the pain it all comes down to the pain level and whether you can deal with it
