I didnt see Matty Coulthard / Judson Clarke on these lists but dont hear much about him playing VFL

Rate these boys highly and hope they plays soon

Coulthard played the last VFL match from memory, but not too sure what happened with Clarke (out of AFL side, but wasn't named for VFL).

No VFL game weekend just gone as well, so not too sure where Clarke is at.

I don’t really think the club has been playing players before

Like Prestia he got injured early round 0 but he had also played the entire pre season and match sims so it’s not like we could say he was under done

And the club is doing the right thing resting Dusty last week
It was early Round 1 after he was played off a 5 day break from an interstate trip in scorching heat ...

Heat wasn't the issue, there was a gale blowing that we didn't handle.

but resting Prestia for Carlton seemed a no brainer. Ah well his 1st qtr was good

Richmond Injury List:

Test

Dylan Grimes, wrist

Thomson Dow, ankle

Kane McAuliffe, ankle

Unavailable

Jacob Hopper, knee (2-3 weeks)

Dion Prestia, hamstring (3 weeks)

James Trezise, ankle (3-5 weeks)

Noah Balta, knee (4-6 weeks)

Jacob Bauer, hamstring (4-6 weeks)

Tom Lynch, hamstring (10-12 weeks)

Liam Fawcett, back (TBC - Long Term)

Mate Colina, back (TBC - Long Term)

Josh Gibcus, knee (season)

Interesting that Prestia has changed from 6 weeks to only 3 weeks away. Hopper could be back after the bye next week. Unfortunately Lynch is still listed as 10-12 weeks which isn't ideal at all given what happened last year.

Just on Fawcett saw this yesterday on PRE, from someone who attended training...

"Based on what Fawcett said 2 weeks ago he's still 2 weeks away from running. I'd expect too see him on the track after the Anzac Eve game".

Balta still listed at 4-6 weeks a week after being listed at 4-6 weeks worries me, just have no faith we're clear on the management.

Was thinking the same when he did the injury V swans was listed first as 3-5 weeks then it went a few ways later to 4-6. So another week gone by would've liked to have seen this adjusted. We'll know more next week if it goes to 3-5 or 3-4

It’s not the official RFC injury list, it’s what was published on afl.com. Probably just regurgitating what they already have. Club hasn’t released an injury report or update this week from my observations.

Not really sure why they provide a week range in the first instance. Can hardly think of an injured player who came back by the shortest forecasted time rather than the longest time plus some. May as well just rip the band aid off and provide a worst case scenario rather than a tease of an early return.

This video was posted in another thread, but in the video below (recorded last night) Balta said he is tracking well and he is hopeful of only missing another 3 weeks. With the bye which he mentions, that would mean 2 more games. So hopefully and potentially back for the Freo game in round 8.

You can see him discussing the injury at 5.25

Even worse TBC or season, how do Geelong get their injured back so quickly, did they stock up on Dank Juice?

I said it earlier in the preseason they had zero injuries which was phenomenal considering how ancient their age demographic, whilst we had about 8? at the same time. They played a night game against the Hawks in a monsoon, had to sit around for 45 minutes going stone cold, came back out played the final quarter and zero injuries. Meanwhile we play in perfect conditions and average 3-4 injuries a game. Also 34 yo Dangerflog with his history of hamstring injuries will be back after only missing 2 weeks. Our hamstrings are 6 weeks or last year even longer.

UPDATE: FFS's Now Jack Ross is out injured. Still no real update on Dow or MCAuliffe either.

This will be the 3rd week Dangerfield will miss. I dont think their is am update on Dow amd McAuliffe? Yze said straight after the game they were minor and will play this week.

Anyone know the Jack Ross situation yet?

Website just says Ralphsmith extended bench. Ross out with foot injury. Still waiting on the club to say what's the situation with Mcaulliffe and Dow.... he did this several times last year. Surely his calendar pings Tuesday after lunch put updated injury list. I mean 5 mins to film the video. Admin kid would type up the report. Too busy watching Hostel and Final Destination for new ideas how to sabotage our playing list is Louie.
