Heard plenty of anti Muslim stuff

Australia is (according to Wikipedia) 3.2% Muslim and 0.4% Jewish. There are twice as many Sikhs as there are Jews here. That's how tiny the community is.

Outside pockets of Sydney and Melbourne you're pretty unlikely to run into a Jewish person in your day to day life. You rarely hear of or about Jewish people in Australia unless something is happening in the Middle East.

Ignoring the obvious differences other than relative population share, it's a silly term anyway. Aren't Arabs and Jews all technically Semitic peoples? Sure there are non-Arab Muslims but in the context of the Middle East...

well it seems to go back to the days when the christians blamed the jews for killing jesus.....and then the nazis used them in a similar way to what trump is doing with illegal immigrants in the US - blaming them for every problem.

now anti-semitism seems to be any negative criticism of anything jewish.... for example criticising netty for starving kids and blowing them to bits is seen by many jews as being anti-semitic.

Israelis have been quite open about this as the only possible outcome after the war. It seems that the hand-wringing has come mostly from israeli supporters in gov'ts offshore, including our own penny wong, who continue to put forward a two-state solution when no one in israel wants it.

It seems to me from reading the end of the article that Trump has promised "the promised land" to the israelis and might even do more than what joe has done over the last few years to assist that. He's been given $100m to get the deed done.
