There was just a UN vote to lift the embargo on Cuba. Just the US and Israel voted against it. I wonder what Israel has against the Cubans!?
Yeah, they seem a very tight couple.
Talk about the Americans holding a grudge.

The USA allow goods to be imported from Russia, ( not to mention Israel ), Sudan, Burma, Zimbabwe etc etc, but they are still carrying on like a little bitch about something that happened 60 years ago. The people involved at the time are all dead.
Basically they are punished worse for being a Russian puppet ( at the time ) than Russia were for being Russia. Its like a fat kid punching up the little kid because he used to be mates with a bully he's too scared to go near.

Interestingly it was Jimmy Carter who lifted the travel restrictions. He did some good stuff as Prez, he should run again, he's not much older than the current guy or the opposition. ( He just turned 100 LOL ).

Trump made the embargo more severe, then violated it.

USA would veto. Someone should introduce it though.
I think you will find in a lot of the USA is regarded as badly as Israel and yes you correct the USA would veto any move against Israel but then they would be seen for what they have become, they are the chief sponsor and complicit in every way and as guilty as Israel.

I read the local fremantle herald while i was having lunch in town today. Two letters to the editor were printed, both in support of israel's right to "defend itself". It was an ironic end to a brief read of the paper and the initial viewing of its frontpage which told the story of the council setting traps to catch foxes and the complaints by residents about whether the animals would get hurt. I honestly speculated as I turned the page as to whether these people would complain to authorities of the death of palestinians in gaza......and then i turned to the letters page and got my answer. Only tears for the jewish deaths....

“Let me just tell you, as long as I'm the chair of the RNC, we are absolutely pro-life, we are pro-family, and we are pro-Israel," Michael Whatley, the chair of the Republican National Convention, said recently at one Trump campaign rally at a church in Austell, Georgia - a key battleground state with a large conservative Christian and evangelical Republican base.

Evangelicals remain some of the staunchest supporters of Israel, according to a recent analysis of polling by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. The entrenched support is rooted, in part, in some segments of the denomination that believe that Jewish people must be in control of Jerusalem for the second coming of Jesus, which will beckon in the Rapture, when living and dead Christians alike will rise to heaven.

Polls have shown that up to 82 percent of white evangelical Protestants believe that Israel was given to the Jewish people by God, according to the analysis.

The group is the most supportive of Israel out of all Christian denominations - at least 60 percent say they fully oppose putting any arms restrictions on Israel, while 64 percent believe that Israel's actions in Gaza are justified.

I've been contemplating why Iran hasn’t targeted the West Bank settlements. If they were to give advanced evacuation notice for the illegal occupants before launching any attack, it could have important implications:

  1. They would technically be attacking Palestine not Israel
  2. It would force Israel and the settlers to admit they're there illegally
  3. Test the reaction from the USA who have publicly opposed illegal settlements
  4. There's little protection from the Iron Dome

I understand what you're saying but there are so many people trying to prove israel's intentions. I dont understand why its important to demonstrate that israel is acting illegally. And relying on technicalities to stop israel from retaliating is just nonsense. If you killed jewish settlers on the west bank, the israelis would bomb you, irrespective of the techicalities. The only thing that appears to slow israel down are bombs. The troops can be slowed down if they are shot. Their planes can be thinned out if they are shot down, etc etc. Every word in the book and every other tactic has been a failure.

Late edit:

The only other strategy is to have nothing to do with them. Dont allow travel there or trade or any other human contact.

I don't think the communications channels are that strong.
1: Technically Palestine is Israel.
2: no it wouldn't.
4: It would kill as many Palestinians as Isreali's and no tactical damage.

Not surprising at all.
