As usual Hamas will show thier face in this ceasefire agreement and mossad will learn who the new leadership is.

It's not ideal but it's better than ongoing hostilities.

Hopefully it kicked off a process of negotiating a permanent ceasefire.

we're all hopeful... i'm even hopeful that the hostages will get back to their families..

but something has changed with the injection of trump and the way he was paid off indicates to me that the israelis are going to resume their longterm aims after a slight delay...and that means getting rid of the palestinians - and they want to clear the west bank too. THere is no doubt about that. I'm no expert in the field but it seems that there are no "promised land" issues with gaza but the israelis would still want the palestinians gone for a final solution...

if you're looking for the palestinians just to survive, then the US has egypt pretty well stiched up and the saudis... I think Trump could instigate a transport of palestinians out of gaza to an adjacent area in order to get it "fixed up"....and then they never return.

Isn’t crazy that the Journalists in Israel don’t sugar coat it like the western media has.

Lots of reasons - one being that a couple of israeli outlets like haaretz play the good cop. Another reason is that israeli official tricking the west is a good thing in the eyes of israeli media consumers. In short, israelis and gentiles dont usually have the same goals in international relations. From what i've seen, israelis are fed different topics in propaganda...

Their right wing media were complaining that they’ve been strong armed into excepting the ceasefire by Trump.

The Israeli government and a large number of their citizens don’t care about the hostages anywhere near as much as they care about destroying Palestine, otherwise Israel would have excepted this deal every other time it has been agreed to by Hamas.

yes. The fact that her mother put her in a relative's car so that she was safer....the fact that her cousin called the PRCS and then was killed beside Hind....and that subsequently Hind was alone and begging on the phone for help. And the Israelis knew all of this because PRCS was contacting them in order to rescue her but the israelis then killed her and used her to lure the PRCS ambulance drivers in so that they could kill them.

And then the israelis have the front to wheel out their fake stories about headless babies....

well the families of the hostages care...i think most will be happy to see the govt get them returned and then go back into gaza

well its a summary. I think most israelis arent too concerned about AIPAC and others pressuring, deceiving etc the gentiles. Obviously, as much as politicians in the US want to portray israeli goals as the same as US goals, there are obvious differences. THe israelis can tell the truth to their own people about things that they need to deceive americans about. That's called good diplomacy

It seems that sky news is pushing for penny wong to get the flick. It might indicate a decision from tel aviv. Richard Marles who somehow got a membership in the labor party is seen as a good man. I'd love to see Albo put Josh Frydenburg in. He just seems to fit the bill perfectly.
