Should be a cracker of a game. Don't buy into the media crap though, it's worth 4 points and that's it. Wont mean shit in round 19 and will mean even less come finals. Sainters won the big H&A game last year and well... yeah didn't mean shit.

Just enjoy watching the two form teams of the comp who both play entertaining, high scoring footy and hope there's no blowout either way.

What the hell has tonight's game got to do with anything? Geelong played well, but faced sub-par competition. Exactly like Collingwood on Friday night.

Why do so many Collingwood BF posters find it necessary to post arrogant and inflamatory comments?? Seriouslly....I really want to know??

Should mean something in the minds of the players, whether subconscious or not. Probably more of a potential upside, but it would mean something to have that over them.

But ofcourse, it will largely count for nothing. 86? points didn't in 07, Saints win obviously didn't get them over the line in the GF.

All I really want is a competitive match from the Pies and good, consistent intensity.

id suggest even money, and let the punters determine who gets favouritism..

ridiculous that its on an hour delay channel 7 are a dirty rotten joke and dont deserve to host footys big night of the week friday night football

both teams have scored 130 plus EACH over the last 3 weeks. so stats say a shoot out,

though i think it will be a bit more of a finals type match, with the winner not much more than 100

Looking forward to it, should be a really good game :thumbsu:

PS - How's about Collingwood's depth ;)

People should start getting on the radio and putting pressure on for it to be shown live. I will be there, but games such as this should be a live broadcast.

I never thought I would see the day but we are now a very creative run and carry & handballing side like the Cats. Going to be fascinating to see how our structure holds up against a team who has as much offensive power as us.
A win won't de-throne them but it will give us plenty of confidence for later on.

Jesus, two thrilling absolute belters of matches on Friday Night Footy between teams one and two in a row. Incidentally, this is already the third meeting this year between one and two. Is that a record for a season by round nine?

Unfortunately i think the Cats will be too good for us, however if Jolly can play his best game of the year and give our midfielders first use of the ball it will be a close game.

Cats by 15, I have a feeling that Bynes will kick 5.

this!!!

If Carlton and Freo can beat Geelong then Collingwood should be able to give them a serious touching up in front of a monster crowd.

Scarlett v Dawes will be a great duel, a great test for the big strong young man.
Travis "Iron Man" Cloke and Didak to run riot again.

Collingwood to win quite comfortably.
Pies by 49

Its a test for both sides, but is some ways more so for Geelong.
If Geelong win their season is on track, and probably rate as favorites for the flag for the moment. However, if Geelong loose, especially if it is not close, it shows the side is on the slide. By round 19 Ablett will be thinking about his new job in QLD and will be easing up. I think this is a big one for the Cats.
For us a loss will not be so damaging on its own. But we have a few tough games coming up & to be contenders for the flag we need to win most of the next 5 weeks games.
I will be a long week, can't wait.

^I don't see it that way.

If the Cats lose, we all know they're still a great side and they PERFORM in September. All will be said about them is that they are cruising through the home and away. They only need to make top 4, then they switch on and make the GF. However, the same was said about the Eagles in 07.. nobody wanted to believe that they could slide and they came crashing in the finals

However, if the Pies lose, we would still have proven nothing this year, having lost to Saints and Cats.

I really hope we don't lose, however I see this is as the toughest game so far, real test. Not that confident.
