More than happy if this is the case, front load that contract while we have the cap space, then enjoy the fruits in year 2 onward, but will be interesting to hear how it ended up, 3 years doesn't seem like a long enough deal, managers always want more than that for guys to move clubs these days

yep - then fingers crossed Berry and Soligo can maintain their level this year and further step up, Shoenberg step up and Pedlar / Taylor both get fully fit and get into the team..It could be quite a good look going forward

Front ended contracts put club at risk once the player has made all their cream, they quickly seek a trade like Lobb.....

The flip side being if he doesn't perform like we hope is that we haven't flushed 2 years and a further 1.6 million down the toilet. I like the 3 year contract.

As opposed to using pick 5 for a player who’d be on a two year contract (and could walk out on that aka JHF?).
