I would be guessing that the Cats offer for the last 2 years of a 4 year deal was say 300 per year with the deal to be smoothed over 4 years. I am guessing the Hawks would be more like 500 per year for years 3 and 4 with no smoothing or maybe even a little from loading. So about 400 k more than Geelong, maybe a bit more even.

Thats more money than Bowes could have ever dreamed about. And in the back of his mind would be that he could not work back to best 22 at the Suns this year. If I was his manager I'd have to say its Hawthorn all the way.
He is best 22 at Suns injury free and a former top 10 pick.

His manager would most likely push him to the highest contract value, his manager gets paid a percentage.

After tax it breaks down to the difference between taking home ~$330k or ~$380k a year. ~$50k a year is still a lot of money but whether or not it's the difference for where you spend your next 4 years remains to be seen. If all the other elements are equal I'd take the extra 15% take home pay.. but other elements aren't equal so it's down to Jack to weigh it all up still.

Essendon have a coach. For how long before he crosses with Dodo and Sheedy is a point of conjecture
Depends if you consider Brad Scott a coach...

Last time I post intel from my sauce again lol.

Anyhow well played Catters, I think this means Geelong miss out on Ollie Henry though

Just give him the block of land next to his brother.

Will be interesting watching how many games he plays next couple of years.
