He doesn’t even have to move or play - they just want pick 7Now the hard part for bowes...up rooting his life and finding a place of residence in a tough real estate market.
Is there a prevelmet builder down that way that would assist his search ?
Cool story bro..-No you guys paid enough to have 08 and 89 replaying in my head constantly.
Oh the salt. THE SALTDon’t be so naive.
HahahaNow the hard part for bowes...up rooting his life and finding a place of residence in a tough real estate market.

No kidding?Hahaha
Simonds Homes ummm Simonds Stadium aka Kardinia Park...
Reading between the lines, GCS are stuffed if they don't trade him. They must be very close to the max cap and need to get that down to resign the players they want to keep.
He missed a spot ?Why would he be touring Essendon again today if they’re out of the running?
Bowes to tour Hawks, Cats and Bombers before making call on his future
Gold Coast Suns midfielder Jack Bowes is being sought by the three Victorian clubs, who are eager not only to secure the midfielders, but especially to land Gold Coast’s pick No.7, which is on offer due to the Suns wishing to lose Bowes’ hefty two-year contract.amp.theage.com.au
Well that’s the thing mate, they aren’t made public, if you can’t smell something funny going on at Geelong that’s fine, you’re even taking on others salary now along with being linked to 75% of the available players this year, and last, and the year before that……
Did you even read my response?Oh the salt. THE SALT
This is... The best post on this entire thread. It is November 1st, first day of pre-season, Jack Bowes walks into Kardinia Park.
Bowes: Hello, I’m Jack, I’m from GCS, and here for my first day.
GFC: Who are you and where is pick 7?
Geez, that's concerning if that list is already maxxing out the cap, especially with Rankine out the door. Even then, you'd think there would be rebuilding clubs with plenty of cap space that would take Bowes and his contract for free or with the addition of a 2nd/3rd rounder. Pick 7 just seems so unnecessary to me.
Hahaha

Damn women, earning their own money.Hawkins is sacrificing so much . Only playing for 300k. What a man to put the team first.
Also Hawkins Mrs......
It’s all about securing Rowell, Anderson, King.Yeah it's bizarre. But oh well.
I don't think high picks have the same value to GC as they do to other clubs. For them it is about building a genuine balanced list that can compete - which they look to be doing (finally).
Cameron play for free does he?Lol, we'll basically have no highly paid senior players in 3-4 years time bar maybe Stewart and Jez.
Danger - 950K
Selwood - 500K
Hawkins - 300K
Duncan - 700K
Blics - 700K
Guth - 700K
Rohan - 300K
I. Smith - 500K
Stanley - 400K
Dahl - 500K
Higgins - 500K
Tuohy - 500K
Menegola - 400K
Ceglar - 300K
There's over 7 MIL out of our cap alone there - going off the reports of what has been said about our players and what they're getting paid (approx estimate). That's the thing that people don't get - you can't call us a retirement home and then cry 'rigged' when all our old players retire and we suddenly have cap. Players like Hopper and Grundy have both knocked us back, due to either money or lifestyle reasons - but we made plays for them as well.
Any club that has that amount of retirements in such a short amount of time, will be absolutely flush with cash. Look at what has happened to Hawthorn. If we had of finished outside the Top 8 and brought in all these young guns, no-one would have batted an eyelid - as it's all perception. The Premiers should not be able to win a flag, and then have a ton of cap space. But because we have a bunch of oldies who will all retire over the next 3-4 years
We'll have literally next to no-one left from when Danger came into the club at the end of 2015. THAT is why we have so much cap space. I know it's not 'edgy' or 'conspiratorial', it's just basic math and the luck of how our list structure has worked out. Had we failed in our quest for the flag like the Hawks and Eagles did when topping up, then no-one would care or be the least bit surprised that we'd have so much cap. They'd just be like 'yep they have a bunch of kids and all their stars are gone, so it makes sense they can make these moves...which is exactly what was being said about Essendon and Hawthorn today.
May have to get their better halves a part time job at cotton on to help make ends meetSeriously though.
This does seem a bit strange.
Cats must be immensely confident their players aren't going to come hat in hand after winning a premiership.
How can they get everyone to take pay cuts, then blow that chasing pick 7? That's almost certainly not what the players were sold when they took those cuts to keep the team together.
..... surely some players feel a bit miffed with this move and start asking for their full value?
We just had Selwood Huggins and Dalhouse retire I imagine there combined would be enough. The premiers with money to burn?

They had better hope the 2023 and future version of Rowell is a shedload better than the 2022 version then...It’s all about securing Rowell, Anderson, King.
