On a facility that will be more useful than that useless old grandstand. It does not have the required space to incorporate all we need moving forward. Simple, bulldoze it. To renovate is more expensive than building. Explain how we incorporate all we need into the current facility. The council is not giving us all the land we need to build outside of the current area I.e. everything we are trying to incorporate.

I just hope the next development is an improvement on the previous one we did in early 2010’s.

Absolutely hideous, minimal glazing for the offices overseeing the oval, literally no seating. Should’ve been set back from the oval and had some form of seating for VFL and the capacity issues wouldn’t be so significant right now.
It’s a terrible waste of space and it all comes back to its limitations from design.

I think I remember someone saying that a lot of those features were due to the fact that it was heavily government funded and they had input into the design which had to focus on the indigenous classrooms and not on the footy

Also thought I heard that as part of this redevelopment they were doing some works to the existing building like increasing windows

No they want RFC to keep it, including the cost. Ask them to pay for it and they'll shy away. It will most likely end up in front of VCAT and they are gutless and will fold once we threaten them with court action. They do not have the budget to fight court actions.
