It all sounds abit dodgy.

But who really knows what happened.

Or Jono looking for a story.

Unable to shed light? Oh dear.

Was he drunk or on drugs?
Why did he drive to hospital then?.

Surely the community need to know if there is an armed attacker on the loose.

'Unable to shed light on the circumstances.'

Given Jack is hopefully going to make a full recovery, the statement above (if true) is by far the most concerning piece of the puzzle.

For 'unable' above, I can't help but envisage that it is actually 'unwilling' instead.

I read it as Ralph being "unable to shed light", rather than Steven...

Im sure his family and friends are in the streets at midnight when the guy is based 2 hours away, give us a spell...

Where was it ever mentioned this happened on the street? Deadset what a moron you have made of yourself. He could have been at his cousins house having a drink, when some ice junkie tried to break in the house armed with a knife for all we know. Or a domestic dispute with a drunk girlfriend who got emotional and grabbed a knife. Could be one of a million reasons, so wait and hear the facts before coming up with speculative bullshit.

Training starts Monday.. I blame him for being 80+km away at 1am, probably drunk.

You hope he'd take his footy more seriously and want to get the best out of himself. Clearly not.

It was probably Guthrie who stabbed him, worried about keeping his spot in the 22.;)

you don’t blame someone for getting stabbed unless a) they actually deserved it or b) you’re a f***wit.

So much this

really wish people would wait till the facts comes out before jumping at shadows trying to appropriate blame on Jack for this situation
Nobody is blaming him. People are saying it doesn’t sound good and thinking he could be in a spot of bother. What’s bloody wrong with that? News right now saying he isn’t cooperating and was drunk.

Direct quote is 'Steven unable to shed light on circumstances...'

If that's correct (and euphemistic), I both fear for Jack and any possibility of footy in his immediate future.
Could be due to anything at this stage, concussion, blackout, protecting freinds /partner

bit too early to be rushing for the pitchforks , either way his recovery should be a first priority instead of trying to blame him for the incident

Yeah about that ...

I'm thinking the bolded might be a factor in firstly taking an uber rather than an ambulance and now not wanting to talk - that last part makes me think he knows who did this which is why he doesn't want to talk. Hopefully it's more along the lines of an something getting out of hand rather than an act of intent

Forget about footy, no matter what the circumstances, this is potentially awful for Jack’s long term well being. Going to need really good support from family, friends and the club regardless of what led to situation.

In recent times, GFC appear to be very good at player support - sure they will do everything they can to help.

Yeah about that ...
Fair enough. Didn’t read that, but if you’re thinking the choices you make and people and situations you place yourself in don’t lead to often bad outcomes that you shouldn’t have to take some responsibility for, then you’re very naive.

I’ll take being called naive over being called a numpty as you previously stated

so your opinion to me means sweet **** all

You are being very polite today. ;)
I think I annoyed a few too many people with my social experiment last week.
Good insight to see how serious people take one man's political views ;)

Enlightening stuff.
