But it is about you, just as it's about me, as well as 1000's of other supporters whose lives revolve around the fate of the footy club and its players. Posters are sincere when they say they feel for the kid etc. but there is no reason to selflessly toss aside personal feelings because you suddenly decide its's got to be just about the player. When you have had a shit day, and your life is crashing around you, and the only thing that stands between you and insanity is the football, innocuous ACL's week after week are hardly just about the player's personal agony or despair. Be generous with compassion by all means, but spare some for yourself as well as those of us just like youHe was in my Super Coach too, not that it's about me, I had confidence in the bloke
Both of what injuries? Is there another one I've missed! Why have both ACL injuries happened at our training base? Is there an issue with the surface?

No matter. Next week someone else will be all but crippled in some training drill, or leave half a leg straddled under a crush of bodies and fracture something vital. I'll be surprised if Shaz lasts more than 5 minutes of a game when he finally gets back on the park.I think Schaz's 2nd ACL

Shouldn't have an effect unless the muscle structure around the knee somehow degrades. Can anyone in here give an insight into training loads and effects on knee and related structures?
Thanks. Have you asked the Physio whether it could be something the club is doing to have so many ACL injuries in the past few years?Shouldn't have an effect unless the muscle structure around the knee somehow degrades.
Interesting fact, some sports scientists in Europe are now recommending heavy rehab on knees to build up the muscle structure and bypassing the ACL reconstruction altogether. It's getting more common in the EPL apparently.
(Note: this is second hand info from a friend who's a physio.)
Pretty much anyone I've talked to regarding it who's in the profession says the same thing. It's rotten luck. Attributing it to training loads is stretching it at best.Thanks. Calm down.Oh ffs, Stop bloody having a winge about Physios and the club.
IT"S JUST BAD LUCK. We miles well complain about the MCG too since theres been players doing acls there too.

Knee injury sees Pie Ramsay sent for scans

Jackson Ramsay was impressive for the Pies in last week's win
COLLINGWOOD defender Jackson Ramsay has been sent to have his knee examined after hurting it at training on Thursday morning.
The Magpies remain uncertain as to the extent of the injury, but expect to know how serious it is later this afternoon.
Ramsay left the track after going down in a tackle and went inside the club before being sent for scans.
The 21-year-old played his best game for the club on Friday night against Richmond and finally looked to be cementing his place in the team after a frustrating run with injury.
Ramsay received a coaches' voteafter picking up 23 disposals and taking seven marks against the Tigers. He was also influential in the final desperate minutes of the game, which Collingwood won with a goal inside the last minute.
Ramsay, the No.38 pick in the 2012 NAB AFL Draft, played the first five games last season before a shin injury kept him sidelined for the rest of the year.
Collingwood's depth has been tested in recent weeks with Dane Swan suffering a season-ending injury, Travis Varcoe sidelined with a hamstring injury, Jamie Elliott not expected to return from a back injury until at least mid-season, and Steele Sidebottom being suspended.
