Not a good result for Leigh.

They can spin the Bastinac pickup any way they want....but Leigh doesn't come out looking good. The trade is nothing flash for Brisbane and they still folded.

Tough situation ....but tough words....from a genuinely tough guy....ended up being empty.
Not a good result for you either. You can spin it any way you want but you put a lot of faith in Leigh's empty promise.

Who are you talking about? Last time I checked James Aish has played 32 games and averages 16 disposals.

Yeah, he had a dig in 2014. Has been out 4th best player coming out of that draft over the 2 year period.

Even loading up for next year's draft, it's not a massive concern yet with Darcey Moore etc, plus you can raid the rookie draft like we do.
Agreed. I'd just like to have another developing tall alongside Darcy at this point. Cloke won't be around forever.

Still, can't complain. Treloar and Aish in the one trade period is amazing, and Howe can play tall as a forward despite being only 190cm.

jesus Brissy give up Aish and 17?

North WIN
Collingwood win
Brissy not so much!

Academy points mate

Draft position irrelevant as it stands.

Securing Keays, Allison (2016) and Hipwood will put us in a ridiculously good position next year.

All for a player that didn't want to be here since day one

On face value it looks bad but we've done well in the end; gotten everything we wanted out of this trade period.

Brisbane wouldn't have used 17 as a live pick as they have academy players to pay for. This way they still get the points with late picks, get a player, and get future picks for next years draft.

They did very well.

Good stuff. Make Collingwood pay full price or he can enjoy the draft. We don't really care either way, we'd rather deal with North.
Gee. what's with the angry posts, all parties made a mature deal to get on front page of the paper's tomorrow, great pr by all clubs.

Collingwood lose because they are getting a self entitled prick who played 11 games averaging 14 disposals.
So?We got a 2nd rnd for one that played none.
#backflip #inhinewetrust

So Geelong and Collingwood wont be taking part in the draft this year or next?

Seems like some wonderful long term planning going on there.

Pies and Cats have thrown everything in to winning in 2016 and given up on any hope of the future.
Bahaha - no future in Treloar, Aish, Adams, Crisp, Moore, DeGoey, Frost, Howe, Elliot, Greenwood, Langdon, Williams......

Brisbane gain:
Part 1: Ryan Bastinac (replacement for Aish), Pick 38, Pick 40, (effectively Keays, Hipwood)
Part 2: 2016 2nd rounder, 2016 3rd rounder to add to Brisbane's existing 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounders (effectively securing Jacob Allison - a likely 2016 Top 5 draft pick)
Brisbane lose: Pick 17 and James Aish
