You aren't getting a pick in the 20's for any of those players.

No one will be giving top 30 pick for your fringe players.

I could see GC giving up a top 30 pick for a player like Jong IF they go as expected and have 3 top 10 picks and a couple in the teens. After that, they may be willing to pay a little extra for more developed senior players, as senior players would be more important for them than another kid.

But Essendon and Carlton don't have enough picks to be giving up for fringe players.

I think the fact that his name is clearly James Stewart, as shown by the thread title and numerous posts, yet the poster still calls him Stuart, shows us all we need to know.

Seeing Pick 5 walk out the Carlton door will leave me with a huge smile on my face, but SOS "knows" what he's doing.

If we give up pick 5 we will be getting very solid talent in for it. Better talent than Chris Mayne.

How's he tracking after his injuries? His brother has been solid without being awesome.

Behind Ben atm I would say. I reckon for either to be having a solid season in the ressies before they are 20 is a great sign and I don't think there will be much between them at the end of their career though.

That would probably be the injuries (though I heard Harry has a bit more high end junior footy behind him than Ben) to Harry. What strikes me about Ben (despite his low numbers as a key forward/occasional swingman) is that he's a very aggressive style forward and I suspect Harry would be similar in that regard.

As fans and close followers of our Clubs, you often get a feel for how the Club rate young players.

For us over the years, we have continually got cold (accurate) vibes from not long after our draftees and recruits have arrived at the Club.

With McKay, the gut feel is that the Club really like him.

Am very keen to get a good look at him (and Ben) over the next few years. Have been following since their TAC days due to a small attatchment to their junior club Warragul.

I hope you guys get him only to find out that he's Jesse White MK II. You'll be hard pressed to find a pies fan who's upset about taking Ramsay over him.

I'd rank him well above Jesse White.

But then I'd rank several communicable diseases well above Jesse White.

To clarify, from what I've seen of Jesse this year he's actually been passable as an AFL footballer. But unfortunately his career over the years previous dictates how he's seen by the general public.

No, no they wont.

Jong is the only one with a bit of currency there but even 22 is a stretch, you'd have to give up something else.

Stevens was traded to the Dogs for pick 44 and plays VFL, how has his value gone up?

Hrovat, not best 22, worth a third round pick

You must have a pretty low opinion of Stewart then, given White was a statistically superior player at the same point in his career.
