Well, that does suck quite a fair bit.

Wow, that is awful awful news.

Fortunately, Laidler and Duigan can come back and they are perfect third man in spoilers to help out Thornton and whoever our unfortunate CHB might be for the next month.

be lucky to win a game the next month with him out...****...you reckon he did the damage when he went back on?? If the case sack the doc!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :(

Sucks to lose possibly the most important player in the team. Its going to be a tough month for defense. Hopefully Bower, Austin or Thornton step up and give their all, otherwise it could get ugly (especially against collingwood)

Was just watching the replay - there was no way it was a 'knock' per se... At least not from the footage...

Do we know what it is?

At the ground look like Scotland flew into his knee when he took that mark after coming off the bench. Bad luck but will test the mettle of the side. Think Henderson may have to stay down back.

From the Carlton FB page

Carlton defender Michael Jamison underwent scans today after suffering a knock to his left knee in Sunday’s Round 14 clash against West Coast. Results show he has a slight tear to his meniscus and he will undergo surgery tomorrow. He is expected to miss around 4 weeks.

Our next four games are

Richmond
Bulldogs
Collingwood
Essendon

J. Roo will be a problem but I think we can still win the midfield battle, and take the points. The Bulldogs are a big unknown, if Hall decides to fire we could be in trouble, then again their form has been so sporadic god only knows how they will play ........... As for Essendon, again they are on a HUGE rollercoaster season, so god only knows what will happen there ......

Collingwood are the BIG problem over this period. It was going to be difficult WITH Jamison playing to stop their tall timber, god only knows how we will handle them without him ..........

Well, someone has to stand up now.

You'd think Henderson would drop back to take the second best tall and Thornton would be forced to take the best. The pressure is right on Thornton.

Duigan coming back will be very helpful. If Austin can find some form and O'Keeffe continues to play well, we'll be fine. We can easily defeat Richmond and the Bulldogs without him.

Duigan, Setanta, Aussie, O'Keeffe, Thornton and Waite will be very important.

Our next five games are as follows.

Round 15: Carlton vs. Richmond @ MCG
Round 16: Carlton vs. Western Bulldogs @ Etihad Stadium
Round 17: Carlton vs. Collingwood @ MCG
Round 18: Carlton vs. Essendon @ MCG
Round 19: Carlton vs. North Melbourne @ Etihad Stadium

For us to keep a top four spot on our radar, we must win at least three of those five games, most likely all without Jamison. Beating the Tigers, Bulldogs, Bombers and Kangaroos is vital.
