This !

Everytime you watch Rozee and Butters play .....they're literally a qtr away from another injury

Butters gets crunched a lot in games .....and on at least 6 times this year, either fell away dramatically after being bumped, or couldn't complete a game

Both bodies are very slight .....Rozee is very injury prone
Roze has only missed 5 games since his debut, hardly injury prone.

Remember though, he's played a lot of games under duress .....played at least 6 games last year with a dodgy foot, B4 succumbing to the injury .....that's why he was played fwd

So just trying to summarise what Port have / need. They are trying to do

Rioli for pick 33
Ratugolea for pick 43
Horne-Francis - Pick 8 and future 1st

Also have picks 53, 57, 60

They can't trade their future second if they trade their future first but could trade their future third.

Only way I could see it happening is they got say a future 3rd for Bonner. Then combined their two future 3rds for a second round this year if someone is willing. Even then I don't see how they manage all three without parting with a better player.

His price won't go down next year. If North keep him (as they don't get an offer, that satisfies them) you need at least 2 bidders at an auction to drive up the price. He will have bidders for sure his quality no one doubts. Clearly, I he would have liked to have a better year (I hoped he did as well). But some on BF suggest his price has gone down but I agree with you 100% his price will be high this year or next.
Difference will be with him being uncontracted it could go to the AFL for mediation if North were too unreasonable with an uncontacted player...not to mention the AFLPA would get involved.

For such a disgruntled fan base that have time and again criticised their club for sub par performances, it's odd that they're all so steadfast in not letting go of any of their players

It will be interesting to see who it costs them over the next few years. As they pay more to Horne-Francis a few players will move on as they won't be able to compete with offers.

It won't be a fringe player or be evenly spread out either. As an example it will be a player like Georgiadis who previously may have been prepared to take unders to stay could be looking at $300k a year gap in offers and it will be too much money to turn down.

That's because according to their posters, trades are all supposed to turn out in Port's favour.

They can't fathom why they should have to pay more.

It's all starting to feel a little bit like Gibbs 2.0, I would honestly laugh if Port keep waiting for North to blink and the trade falls through.

I'm disappointed we don't appear to be having a crack.

Considering what NM want now and what we will have from the picks we offered last year, we probably better off just making Port pay full price this year or next. He’s just not worth it. I imagine for the price of JHF, we could probably get both Hollands from GC and Thomas from NM, or 3 class players from the draft.

Cannot wait till he sulks it up at the power. I'm sure he'll grow up eventually, but looking forward to the port melts prior to that.
I see this differently. He wants to be at port and has made sure he will get there. He could easily have worked it last year to get to us and didn't. I predict at port he will flourish and be the player we all saw in that prelim final v Glenelg and he will be a thorn in our side in every showdown for years to come. I could easily see him going on to be ports best player over the next decade and they have some pretty good players there already

Edit: Thank god we are getting Rankine who equally has the talent to be one of our very best and be a nightmare for port in every showdown for the next decade too:)

port will need to give up a best 22 or north wont accept it. this can either be done on top or through WC for example with georgiadis.

bonner wont cut it. its like us throwing up mchenry
