The Roos may look at trading pick 3.... Maybe we offer them Bonner and 33.

I'm thankful that the AFL had its conditions about trading away more than one future pick per round and so it sits ok with me that in 2023 we maintain a 2nd and 3rd round pick.

If we had Pick 1 last year, I think it is obvious that we would have selected JHF. So, I deem that we've picked up a Pick 1 this year at a cost of Pick 8. The 2023 1st rounder is a loss but not critical, and anything can happen before next year's trade. So, we've done well.

If as reported, we get a future second rounder from GWS and a future 3rd rounder from North, given both should be bottom 4, these are albeit smaller wins also.

Well spotted: everything is an oppurtunity
Actually no ... They are the picks originally acquired from Collingwood & Fremantle respectively. That being said, they will drop next year IMO, and we do alright out of it.

Next year is a mile away and we have plenty of quality players. If Ken is sacked one may want to leave and give us a first rounder selection
We trade into the drafts; this year Amon; next year maybe Bergman wishes to go home.
If so, we would get a first rounder (giving Jason a full poker hand to bluff his way into the next draft),

Well played Sir; very well played Jason Cripps.

Not taking as much joy from Kingys sadness as I would like. Bloke is broken.
No point enjoying someones low points. Just enjoy the fact we've got a generational talent...........................GENERATIONAL!!!

This is a port meme we have been running with for every new player for about 5 years.
Prior to that I believe every new player was "reminds me of O'Shea"

Yeah but that doesn't explain the origins of it, which are here:

They're not soft. Hard as nails.

One wished that JHF did both knees in his first game.

And they wonder why he didn't want to play for the.
Now they're posting these alleged stories they've been sitting on all year that fabs has been pushing the agenda and that he puts extreme pressure on jhf theyre a bunch of vindictive pricks over there

Two-time North Melbourne premiership player David King was left “extremely frustrated” by the club’s decision to let go of both pick one and last year’s top pick Jason Horne-Francis, labelling it the “full stop” to a horror period.

The Kangaroos were part of the biggest trade deal in AFL history, when four clubs came together for what’s been dubbed the mega trade of 2022.
But King wasn’t impressed by the blockbuster trade, claiming his former club is in “crisis”.

“Horne-Francis was pick one – gone, pick one this year – gone. They’ve given up two pick ones for two and three. I don’t understand it at all,” he said on Trading Day. “You can’t cry about spilt milk (after turning down Adelaide’s deal for pick one last year). “They’ve been dudded. It just puts a full stop on an awful period.”

Probably one year too long for my liking

But got him cheaper than even i expected and i was one of the more optimistic on his price.
