Hallahan played until injured. Then again, everyone at Gold Coast played until injured.

@TomBrowne7: Jed Anderson has at least 5 or 6 clubs chasing him.Can reveal they include essendonfc @brisbanelions carltonfc @NMFCOfficial @Adelaide_FC

You may be safe.
Why on earth would 5-6 clubs be after such a dud

Anderson may well have talent but 10 games in 3 years has not done a lot to inflate his value, which in any case is hard to peg because he was a straight up trade for Stephen Gilham who was a plodder by the time the Hawks turfed him.
So no high draft order to peg him with, 10 games in 3 years and a history of injury. The Hawks are bloody lucky he's contracted because otherwise they wouldn't get anything for him at all. As it is, and given this isn't a deep draft, a late 2nd rounder is the best case scenario for them.

Yea, I'm surprised he wasn't getting games in season two when he caught pneumonia and almost died. He should have applied himself a whole lot better rather than lying in bed and losing all that weight and condition.

Must be the reason why virtually every club's trade board has posts about how they must get Jed Anderson i.e. just look at Snoops assessment on the Collingwood board. Still the fact, that Anderson is an absolutely jet means Hawthorn will be lucky to get anything, yet Collingwood's spuds Freeman, Oxley and Seedsman all all worth first or second round draft picks.

You clearly, know your football.

A good third of the comp are after him. Will take at least a 1st rounder to get him out of Hawthorn.

You can't low ball for a player in the middle of a bidding war who is also contracted.

Hawthorn traded Stephen Gillam (28 at the time, played 15 games for GWS) and picks 27 and 63 for him and picks 28 and 66. He has since played a total of ten career games.

Hawks fans insisting he's worth a first rounder are going to be really disappointed with what they get if a trade does happen.

Not saying he has any lack of talent but you can't expect a first rounder for a guy who wasn't drafted in the first round and who hasn't justified a first round pick trade with his AFL form. No ifs or buts about it.

If he nominates a club and insists on a trade then it'll get done one way or another, if he doesn't do those things he'll probably stay at Hawks.

Would be very happy to see him come to North.

I would hope the Lions are having a chat to young Jed. It will be interesting who he picks. Hard to know what he is worth when he has been in VFL all year. Obviously talented but I'd expect playing VFL and not AFL impacts his value.
Very good mates with Mitch Robinson. Would've made things interesting if Aish was prepared to go to Hawthorn...

Wait wut??? I suggest you calm down and untwist your panties before posting. At no point did I say the guy had no talent or lacked application. I've just pointed out that due to circumstances the Hawks are going to get bugger all compensation for a guy they really rate internally. Sheesh!

Yeah I think that would have been handy for both clubs. A lot on the Lions board were keen on Anderson in his draft year and now he is available we are all keen for our club to have a crack. Unfortunately James Aish wants to be a Collingwood player but maybe the Hawks can try and change his mind.

Really?

That's good news.

Let's say that Anderson does nominate the Lions and Aish still refuses to be smart and play for Hawthorn, I think Brisbane will deal Aish to Collingwood to be able to get more collateral pick wise to give you.

I've never seen him play but from how the Hawks fans are describing him do you think if we packaged up murphy, Gibbs, Cripps and pick 1 we could get the trade over the line? Even if we had to pay Murphy and Gibbs' contract

or he could be just another junk VFL player they are trying to sell off for overs
You should have just stopped after saying you've never seen him play. Opening your mouth and removing all doubt kinda statement right there.
