I dont think any other clubs will pick him up. He is not a good enough player to justify picking him when he does not want to play for you. In saying that i think a deal will be done. I reckon you will end up getting GWS 3rd rounder that will be obtained from the Shaw/Adams deals.
I don't think the Swans will be to keen to let White go for third rounder and I don't think Shaw will end up at the GWS.

We did not get Jolly for unders. A 1st and 3rd rounder for a aging ruckmen who only offered us 2 good years was not unders. I would say it was a little overs, but given the 2010 premiership and Jollly's importance to it, it was a win win in the end.

No. 14 & No. 46 I think was unders for arguably the best Ruckman at the time (apart from cox). No one new that Jolly would go downhill so fast, but you got a premiership. I would have thought 14 & early to mid second rounder was fair price.

But really semantics, we as two clubs trade quite well.

Which would mean you would be paying way overs, I'm pretty sure the Dogs would be happy to match whatever the White put on his head.

But we will front lead the contract like Luke ball. I dont think any club will pay a lot of money for a player that does not want to play for them. Think of Tippett getting to you guys. Sorry mate you have no bargaining power on this one. but you got buddy for nothing so, you are still a winner.

Well I guess we will see in a week or so.

Surviving to your third round in the national draft is a bit of a stretch though. After the priority picks that will be after pick 50.

In the PSD or National draft I doubt you will price out other clubs for White. You really think you would have more cash available then the bulldogs, st.kilda etc........ And really how much do you want to pay for white?

I honestly do not know if there are clubs with interest in picking him up for free but J.White is worth > then pick 50ish.

Well then they lose him for nothing. It is a very early second rounder. Also on GWS i think even if Shaw does not go there we may still get that pick.

I reckon it could be ether Shaw and Pick 27 for Adams and Pick 35? (i think this is the GWS thirdrounder)

Or is Shaw goes to Geelong

Pick 11 for Adems and pick 35. I reckon the hold up on the White trade is because we think we will get GWS 3rd round pick to offer for White.

Our 2nd round will finish up around the pick 30 mark. Late 2nd round will be mid 30's, where as GWS 3rd round will finish up around pick 38.
White is worth mid to late 30's.

Thats the scenario.

I doubt we will except anything less then GWS third rounder because that will end up being approximately 40 when the concession picks are added.

Yeah maybe, I think shaw will end up at a top 4 club as I get the feeling he wants flags rather than money so In my opinion Geelong is the likely destination.

White is worth mid to late 30's.

I agree, but your third rounder wont cut it. You will either have to pay overs, or get a pick from somewhere.

If Hampson is worth 28 White has to be worth at least 30.

Not pick 50ish around pick 35 (add on a few with compo picks). Also no i don't think clubs will pick him up when he does not want to play for them. think about GC and Tippett had the cash to pay him but did not take him as he did not want to go there. He is also a far better player the White.

Some other teams posters on here really have no idea.................

Have you read what I have been writing? I said GWS third rounder would get it done, which is pick 35 which after the compensation picks will be approximately 40. Anything lower then that will be laughed off, not worth us trading.

I have been saying Collingwoods third rounder pick no. 45 after all free agency picks will be approximately 50. Which will not get the deal done.

okei?

Yeah I reckon mid 30's which is part of the problem. 27 perhaps too low & 45 too high. No doubt they will sort something out.
Just hope Heater doesn't end up at the Cats. He will tear teams up including us. GWS or stay please.

Swan's big FWD's in ranking order
1) buddy
2) tippett
3) Goodes
4) Reid
5) White is 5th inline being 26 with not many games played in past few years, so yeh you get my drift.
White will need about pick 30 to 42

That is After our 2nd Rounder and Before our 3rd Round Pick

That's why we cannot do the deal yet. We wish to keep 27 (30) for someone else, yet we realize our 45 (50) won't do. Hence we need to secure a mid to late 30's pick in the Shaw trade, then use that for White.
Over to you Mr Shaw.

Agree Hopefully Shaw picks GWS. The only other option, apart from you testing the PSD if you cant get the extra pick is maybe trading picks.

For example:

Collingwood get: 31 & 49 & white
Swans get: 27 & 45

But it would be easier if you got the pick from GWS then it would be a simple trade
