Who misses out? On yesterdays performance; White, Buckley, Graham, Jones, Lamb, Boekhurst surely must go. Williamson and Polson have had a taste and now need to go back and develop their games. Theirs 8 OUTS.

I can see Fisher (was quiet yesterday but looks like the type who will improve with more early exposure) and Macreadie possibly getting another game based on their performances.

Keep the kids.

out: Jones, Buckley (inj), Rowe, White, Graham, Thomas, Boekhorst
in: Jaksch, Kreuzer, Simpson, Gibbs, Murphy, Docherty, Wright

I'd leave Korcheck in - see him go head to head with Sandilands.

B Williamson Plowman Polson
HB Marchbank MacReadie Docherty
C Pickett Cripps E Curnow
HF Palmer Weitering Armfield
F Kreuzer Jaksch Lamb
R Korcheck Gibbs Murphy
Int Fisher Wright C Curnow McKay Kerridge Simpson Cuningham Smedts

Jack SOS and Casboult eased back via the VFL - better delivery!

I would add Thomas to that list of outs.

B: Docherty Plowman Simpson
HB: Weitering Marchbank Macreadie
C: Murphy Gibbs Cuningham
HF: Sumner Jaksch C. Curnow
F: Pickett Casboult Smedts
R: Kruezer Cripps E. Curnow

I: Palmer Kerridge Armfield Rowe Fisher Sheehan McKay Boekhurst

Do we get four on the bench in the last round or still 8? If so the bench will be whats highlighted.

IN: Murphy, Gibbs, Jaksch, Sheehan, Docherty, Simpson, Sumner, Casboult, Kruezer
OUT: Polson, Buckley, Korcheck, Lamb, Jones, Thomas, Williamson, Graham, White

I believe it's just the 6 man bench for this game.

Hoping for:

FB: Marchbank Rowe Plowman
HB: Docherty Weitering Simpson
C: Murphy E.Curnow Cuningham
HF: Wright C.Curnow Pickett
FF: Silvagni McKay Armfield

R: Kreuzer Cripps Gibbs

Int: Casboult, Gorringe, SPS, Buckley, Thomas, Palmer

Just to see how the game plan fairs with more senior bodies to feed the footy to our young talls. Last chance for McKay and Gorringe to impress for R1.

I guess the best part about playing Freo is we should not be scored heavily against.

Even if that is part of the Ross Lyon game plan, will take it at this stage of the preseason.

McKay still looks a fair way off to be honest.
We did know he would take a while being a December birthday and still growing and filling out physically.

Not too sure but he played well for the NB's yesterday kicking 4 goals.

I'd rather him that Casboult tbh..even for round 1.
Casboult has so many clear limitations he shouldn't be around after this year.

If this year is going to be more about development, then i'd prefer we play Jaksch in a sink or swim environment at least for the first few rounds since at least he is young enough and talented enough to still make it...and we know if he does get a shot on goal he's actually a pretty good chance to kick the goal.

But i guess Jaksch only has himself to blame...theres plenty of opportunity in our forward line, the only reason he isn't leading our forward line is because of his own attitude.

Need to try Casboult and KJ as the key forwards. SOS and Charlie as the mobile options with LeBois and a resting mid or Sumner as the small forwards. Cas is the second ruck. McKay slots in from the bench while Cas rucking or Charlie is in the middle. More mobile and better marking than two genuine rucks we used last season.

I think he's got enough about him physically to be in the team, he's just got to have the required work rate. So far, he has looked like he's not far off, and that's why I'd like to see him in JLT3.

If he doesn't show enough then, I think we'll use Weitering as a swingman.

With round 1 looming look for a much stronger team with the kids back at northern after their experience in JLT 1 and 2.
our best back 6 ,best mids, best forwards.SPS yes if available.
Pickett maybe yes or Sumner ?
Palmer yes
Smedts or Thomas maybe?
we dont have many injuries so we dish out our strong team and hope for a result....Bolts can always pull players from the field if we actually can dominate..
As it stands our best team still wont match it with most of the other teams like last year,we got to stay injury free and milk games as we did last year.......it was not pretty at all but it worked.

those are the grim facts.......zzzz

Not sure if Dylan Buckley, Liam Sumner and Charlie Curnow too injured to play or not. Probably Thomas gets one last chance to make round one team with one to three of those out. I would not lose any sleep if a line put through his name already. Rather see LeBois or Sheehan make a surprise turnout against Fremantle next week.

JLT3 Lineup
B: Lachie Plowman - Jacob Weitering - Kade Simpson
HB: Sam Docherty - Caleb Marchbank - Dale Thomas (last chance 30 decent disposals or GTFO)
C: Ed Curnow - Bryce Gibbs - Charlie Curnow
HF: Dennis Armfield - Levi Casboult - Billie Smedts
F: Jack Silvagni - Sam Rowe - Matthew Wright
Foll: Matthew Kreuzer - Patrick Cripps - Marc Murphy
I: Sam Kerridge - Jarrod Pickett - Rhys Palmer - David Cuningham
- Liam Sumner - Nick Graham - Zac Fisher - Harry McKay

If Daisy did pull 30 disposals he would probably need a month off !!

I'm quite bullish on McKay, the way he covers the ground for a guy that big is pretty impressive.

He also has a defensive game and is developing a good tank.

Exactly what I saw as well.
With another season of VFL footy under his belt we could see quite a good player in 12 months time.

would play Mckay and Macreadie this week with the senior players.

prefer Weitering stay in defence. why not play both LeBois and Pickett. reckon once Pickett gets full fitness will be explosive this year.

dont expect Cripps to play a full game. oppositions will now target him and i want to see protection from his team mates

Don't see Jaksch coming in for this - just a hunch but I think he played for the NB on the weekend because that's the level they believe he's at.

I'm in the minority but I'd like to see Whitey running around again.

Jaksch or Jones? Flip a coin. Either would struggle with no delivery The priority for the next 3 weeks should be supply. St Kilda had more than double the forward 50 entries.

The recruitment of Marchbank signals the end for White or Rowe. Structurally we can't carry the extra tall.
