I know he says don't take me seriously/listen to me for news etc, but when your audience gets that big and you apparently hold that much sway over them is there some responsibility to be just a little... I dunno.. less conspiratorial on certain stuff? Like sure do your UFO/DMT/whatever stuff, but just to pluck out one example listening to him make that statement about voting after Trump's win was surprising, I don't listen as often as I used to I guess but still do here and there, I had no idea he was that far gone.
I don't have any good answers on this by the way, just musing.
Many in here say it is, I say it isn't, he's not a journalist, just talking to someone. I think the onus is always on the listener to be discerning with the media they consume, I mean every outlet is biased in some sort of way.
Tell me this - does he ever shut up about trans people and Covid lockdowns or vaccines or not? Because any type of person who does that irl or public or not would be fking annoying.

They come up in a lot of the fighter podcasts still, they usually get political at some point. He has a lot of pet issues he rabbits on about, plus random shit about bears, jiu jitsu, snooker, hunting, comedy, UFOs etc etc
In his last podcast today, Joe called "scientists" woke ideologists and atheists who live in a cult.
The BIG LIE in society today is that people in authority cannot be questioned as in MM, scientists.

Of course, I disagree with him, just as I disagree with right wing nut jobs on a lot of things.
Maybe it isn’t worth arguing about or getting into the why.
I still think the best approach is Socratic method, like ask why he believes that and point out flaws when he breaks it down.
Because he probably does believe the majority of the scientific community is like that but I dunno, call me crazy but I’d wager to say most of them are just normal people that are not entrenched in cultural politics.

I’m sure Joe will talk about this on his podcast, I’m just an ignorant sheeple who hasn’t given the intellectual juggernaut a fair go of listening.

My hero? Hahaha. I was never a big Rogan fan to begin with, didn’t listen much. Still can’t and never will understand his appeal, especially after endorsing Trump. And I’m allowed to judge people for throwing their support behind a racist rapist insurrectionist felon scumbag, too bad if you don’t like it.
I’m more lenient towards struggling low information voters who don’t know any better but not rich dickheads like Joe who have more time and resources to know better.

I think joe is a pretty switched on guy it’s just he does his shows on the run in a sense there is no script and not much preparation so it can sometimes make you look bad

Be open minded, but not so open that your brains fall out. Critical thinking matters.
Now personally, I don’t have the time to dive deep into the quantity of information that’s out there.
I’m sure you’ve heard that example that if 99 out of 100 engineers say don’t drive over that bridge, you don’t.
I’m not about to discredit the majority of climate experts, medical experts etc. when in doubt or I don’t know enough, I will defer to expert voices.
And as I said before, just because someone like the NYT gets things wrong sometimes, doesn’t mean they’re the same as Alex jones lmao
