Dunno about how they do the voting nowadays. Boak and Trengove tied on just 13 votes. Logan finished on 10.

Players can get a max 4 votes per game.

What?

Look, I like Trengove and all, but there is no ****ing way he was our equal best player this season. And I like Logan and all, but there is no ****ing way he was better than Robbie Gray.

To be honest I'm embarrassed to have two players who had such average seasons in the top 3, and especially for Trengove to be an equal winner. His season barely qualified as good until the last month. Would be much happier if Trengove and Logan were pushed down below Gray (can take Trengove's equal winner spot since he should've won the thing himself anyway), Pearce and Westhoff.

Yeah have to say the results are different compared to the BF Port results, which also differs from the votes I give in my reviews.

Who got best first year player? Seems to have gone under the radar

Just have to compare it to last year's winning score and maximum votes possible to see if it is truly low.

They changed the voting criteria this year.

THE voting system for the John Cahill Medal has changed from 2011 onwards.

Members of Port Adelaide’s match committee - comprising the Senior Coach and Assistant Coaches - now produce a single joint set of votes for each round during their match review process.

Previously, each Match Committee member produced their own individual votes.

So in reality the votes should be something like 1/5th of what they have been previously.

Congratulations to Travis and Jackson however that feels like a doctored result to reward and keep the young and promising Victorians happy in South Australia.

Sounds like the theme of voting is consistency.

I don't know whether to play that with a straight bat or not.
