If his name wasn’t Jordan DeGoey, there wouldn’t be as much hyperbole.
EFA.
The Eagle being a first year player is irrelevant.

Probably right on mate. Has Maynard been quiet lately or am I wrong? He is a big loss mate. We will need not just Lippa back but a lot of the other guys to go up a gear now.
My Magpie pride bristles at it, but as a fan of the game it’s a necessary evil. It’s the old school army approach of punishing one to teach the masses.
How are you arguing it as 3? I personally don’t have one. When I look at McAdam getting 3 with O’Halloran not entering the concussion protocols and Stewart getting 4 last year I can’t see a path to 3 myself unfortunately.
I don’t remember suggesting there was anything wrong with it only that we ask a lot of our midfield bulls…
Just want to point out the media “Stoking the flames” as they always do when it comes to Collingwood and in particular JDG.
Whinging that Hewett was an “innocent 18 year old kid”. It does not matter that Hewett is 18 or 28, he takes the field same as every other player in the afl. The media don’t need to bring out the violins for Hewett just to build the case against JDG even more
I suspect this is as like for like as you’ll ever see.Careless high severe = 3

The verdict is in: Tribunal makes call on Stewart hit
The Tribunal has handed down its verdict on Tom Stewart's hit on Dion Prestiawww.afl.com.au
Highly careless seems to be what they hung him on so for now I’ll stick with 4 and prey we bring the Carlton lawyers in or have you as general counsel.
First instinct was 4 for me, but the difference is a strike v rough conduct. The dog act that the Saints player did should’ve been 6.
Wasnt idiotic really at all. Careless maybe but the public assassination by the flogs in the media today is piss poor

My view is that Stewarts +1 was because he lined up the bump from a fair way out - not looking to do anything else. We'll argue for 3 because Jordy was charging at someone with the ball and turned to bump once the bloke got rid of it - wasn't a premeditated hip and shoulder, like Stewarts was. I think he'll get 3.I suspect this is as like for like as you’ll ever see.

Yet we keep winning. Mighty Fighting Pies.We can never cruise through a year without endless injuries and often long term ones. Dogs at full strength last night bar Johannesson. Lions full strength the entire year bar one week where Rich missed. Adelaide close to full strength all year. Just one bloody year when we are in the hunt would be lovely.
I hear they think MCceery could have the dreaded syndesmosis. That can mean weeks out. DeGoey, Sidey and Beau are at the very heart of our success. That is tearing a big hole in our fabric for a possibly extended period.
I know, but you'd love a fair fight. Melbourne are just about full strength too. I note too that the commentators never stop mentioning the Cat's "outs" every week while ours have been out so long nobody even considers them as missing!Yet we keep winning. Mighty Fighting Pies.
I don’t think this will be classified as intentional either. The Stewart ban was still classified as careless, but Gleeson and co viewed it as “highly” careless. At the tribunal they’ll bring their own views into it and aren’t defined by the box checking process of the MRO. I’m concerned some on here are viewing it with their Collingwood glasses on, but I’m happy to ride with the consensus of 3. I’ll just be expecting 4.My point is that it wasn't classified as deliberate so not sure how they can claim this was deliberate.
