Brown, wood, Simpkin, pruess, billings etc goood trollI agree on that age. I don't however see a lot of quality under 25 on North's list though.

No one is trolling mate, just having a discussion on the state of North's list. You've named four decent players and a St Kilda player for some reason.Brown, wood, Simpkin, pruess, billings etc goood troll
Thought I'd pull a string so I mentioned billings, their are others that have been limited to preseason and others who are just not rated outside our club. Comparing our kids to any other button 6/7 teams over the last 6/7 years is bloody stupid. No one is trolling mate, just having a discussion on the state of North's list. You've named four decent players and a St Kilda player for some reason.
Now compare that to the top half a dozen young kids from other up and coming lists. North have got a lot of work to do.

Carlton is sitting 16th.2015, Carlton engineered trades to hit the ND with pick 1 (Weitering), pick 10 (McKay), 12 (Curnow), 19 (Cuningham). 3/4 already have rising star nominations. That's called "engineering first round picks".
North is sitting 17th, so I'd say it's great advice. I don't expect a North supporter to understand this though, and noting that I don't see North with much trade capital which could make it harder to get these additional picks.
Bolton will be sacked before Scott..If Kelly had a brain he would be going to St Kilda as the first option, Carlton as the second and North as the distant third - that is if he decides to leave GWS. North will be going a long way backwards before moving forward. Carlton are showing promising but nothing guaranteed yet. St Kilda are on the cusp of breaking into top 4 contention with an A grade midfielder like Kelly and have the currency to trade and pay for him.
No is one trolling, bwha ha ha, Carlton, saints and north posters have being going each other across multiple boards and a good 80 pages of this thread. This thread has nothing to do with list management, it has to do with Josh Kelly, not a dick measuring contest over lists and who is successfully trolling who.No one is trolling mate, just having a discussion on the state of North's list. Yeah North should hold onto Scott for as long as they can. He has taken them places.........Bolton will be sacked before Scott..
Scott has been the most successful NM coach since Pagan. Surely you would know all about Pagan set your club back 10 yearsYeah North should hold onto Scott for as long as they can. He has taken them places.........
To be fair its not just saints and Carlton fans.No is one trolling, bwha ha ha, Carlton, saints and north posters have being going each other across multiple boards and a good 80 pages of this thread. Which is why I mentioned all three. To be fair its not just saints and Carlton fans.
A fair few Kangas have been doing exactly the same.

You can include Malthouse as well setting our club back. In the short time Bolton has been at Carlton, the footy club has shown great improvement and most Carlton people think the club is on the right path.Scott has been the most successful NM coach since Pagan. I'd say list quality and cash has more to do with it than what team he barracked for as a kid.No is one trolling, bwha ha ha, Carlton, saints and north posters have being going each other across multiple boards and a good 80 pages of this thread. Let's be honest Carlton will lose a couple of games, fans will melt, board will overreact and ditch the coaching staffYou can include Malthouse as well setting our club back. Righhhhhhttttt...Bolton will be sacked before Scott..
We don't actually because that simply won't happen. Our club has finally entered the modern world of AFL where quick fixes and saviours are a thing of the past. We have drafted 11 kids in two years, plus some handy trades and have promoted a consistent, measured message whether we have won or lost. Our future is so Damn bright and I'm loving it!!Let's be honest Carlton will lose a couple of games, fans will melt, board will overreact and ditch the coaching staff
..
Board will find a new coaching saviour and repeat above cycle, you know it's inevitable.
Hahaha, that was the old Carlton, I have faith in the new Carlton. The club is in the second year of a rebuild, most Carlton supporters understand this. Winning games atm is great but the main thing I am enjoying is watching the players grow especially the blokes we have drafted in the last 2 years.Let's be honest Carlton will lose a couple of games again, fans will melt, board will overreact and ditch the coaching staff and panel..

Cash isn't the issue I raised, a seemingly never ending analysis of north's list is.I'd say list quality and cash has more to do with it than what team he barracked for as a kid.
And it is hardly a dick measuring contest, it just seems that a lot of North supporters are in denial as to where there list is.

List quality does not come into it as a major factor with the pursuers, as they are all inferior to gws'.
It certainly is a factor, but not one favouring the pursuers in this instance. If he does leave, then it becomes more of a factor. But as the modern age has shown, you only need a few years to bounce into finals and premiership contention. Over say a 5-9 year period, he is going to play with a decent list at some point or another if he comes to Carlton or north. Current list strength then may not come into it as much.Just a point. List management would come into it if all the offers to leave thr Giants are around the same amount and time etc.
Thing is no one knows what Kelly tjinks of each list.
Lets remember Treloar thought the Pies had a better list than the Tiges.

It is when/if all the offers are the same.It certainly is a factor, but not one favouring the pursuers in this instance.
You raise a good point about us not knowing what Kelly thinks of each pursuing list. Whether he sees potential in one list and not another, it certainly adds a unique dynamic to it all.
I assumed it was just Trealor trolling Richmond as we all do.
I'd say list quality and cash has more to do with it than what team he barracked for as a kid.

I think this is a large point North fans simply can't quite grasp, there are a handful of Victorian clubs with the cap space and currency needed to acquire the services of Kelly, if all 3-4 clubs offers are on par or thereaboits, like Treloar before him, he will go to the one where he believes he has the best chance of success. It is when/if all the offers are the same.
If Kelly thinks a certain list is better, and the offers are similar, thats where he will end up. He has been through a build. He would want to limit the amount of time being in another.

Just read a few posts about North being a young side etc, well, just having a quick glance at the stats for the weekend game against Fremantle, it seems North wasn't that young at all.
North Melbourne Games Fremantle
9 Less than 50 11
4 50 to 99 3
2 100 to 149 6
7 150 or more 2
North Melbourne Attribute Fremantle
187.5cm Height 186.2cm
87.2kg Weight 86.8kg
25yr 3mth Age 23yr 8mth
92.6 Games 69.2
And for all the talk about being a young side with plenty of youth in the team and coming through, I've gone through the stats for the year, and only 5 times was North on average younger then there opponent.
1 v WCE
2 v Geelong
3 v GWS - North younger by 2 months
4 v Adelaide - North younger by 2 months
5 v Sydney - North younger by 1 month
Every single other game North has on average been about 1-2 years older then there opponent, with majority of games having 7-8 150+ gamers.
And North supporters are delusional enough to think 1 player will be enough to turn the tide for them, if you think shunting out 3-4 experienced players that are vital cogs in your side and replacing them with unproven inexperienced kids and one gun in either Martin or Kelly will be enough to catapult you back into the top 8 then I have some magic beans you guys might be interested in.
