Pyke was the samePar for the course under this regime.
Thanks for sharing that. Probably the most measured and rational assessment from someone in the media so far (albeit in the form of a player manager) - and potentially closest to the truth.
Errol Gulden to get 50+ disposals.TBH I am glad Sydney picked a full strength side.
I thought this would be the kind of dead rubber game the Crows might snag. But given the terrible vibes I'm predicting a thumping loss!
60+
Not sure about Josh personally, but his family want him out.Any word on whether he might be wanting out this trade period?
Outside of Luko and Jakob Ryan - not much this stageHey mate got any rumours for us?
Ryan?Outside of Luko and Jakob Ryan - not much this stage
Pyke was the same
My first thought too. Love how every time he needs to front the media and defend himself he's wheeled out to do it on his own. Same thing happened when he "had to" front the media and take responsibility for shirking against Essendon.Nice to see someone there supporting him
Is this your perception or is this from people close to the club making these comments? It’s much worse now.
Pyke never divided the playing group and had players deliberately turn on and isolate each other for “the good of the team”
I’m sure not all people in valued positions are on that planeMy first thought too. Love how every time he needs to front the media and defend himself he's wheeled out to do it on his own. Same thing happened when he "had to" front the media and take responsibility for shirking against Essendon.
From the leadership group we've got Smith and Milera still in SA, even ex-captain Sloane is still here in some capacity. Someone alongside him to show he has the club's support wouldn't kill them.
So why exactly do supporters need to know every conversation that goes on …. do you want a camera with a live feed ?So it has nothing to do with how he celebrates... it's been an issue for weeks so not just based on the weekend... it's about "team first values".
You know, it would be a lot easier to understand what is going on if they actually told us, rather than talking in circles around the issue. Rachele is apparently super clear about it all, shame none of us supporters are allowed to be.
Luckily for us, Rachele is a Crows tragic just like the rest of us so I'm fairly confident he'll stick around and do his best to make the current regime happy. Just like how we were able to attract Dawson and Rankine to the club despite having very little to offer them.
So it has nothing to do with how he celebrates... it's been an issue for weeks so not just based on the weekend... it's about "team first values".
Someone should come out on a radio show and say they're disappointed in Laird, and he's let the club downYou’d imagine Laird has been spoken to by management ….. publicly bagging a player is never acceptable, and equally not team first
His Dad was at the club 2 weeks ago with the Father’s Day thing they did, would be odd flying over for that if you want your son gone from the clubNot sure about Josh personally, but his family want him out.
Tex and Fog both said the same things as LairdSomeone should come out on a radio show and say they're disappointed in Laird, and he's let the club down
josh is a better man than me.
just cant get over this team standards bullshit. you're telling me josh is seemingly the only guy who has wavered in standards this season? could he have been braver at times? sure. could he have done the team thing more often? sure. but i could probably point to nearly every footballer at the club who could've gone harder, who could've done the team thing more. this picking on rachele just has me so confused.
yeah good clubs keep this stuff in house. It’s gotta be because he didn’t put his head over the ball.
Nicks said flat out it wasn’t the celebration, then when questioned on that, he said it wouldn’t be fair to go into the details.
Which to be fair is an ongoing problem.
But handle this IN HOUSE Jesus Christ. Say he did a hammy and tell him in private the real reason. Don’t embarrass the kid, divide the playing group, start rumours in the media and infuriate the fans.
We just find new ways to embarrass ourselves and Nicks is a moron.
And if that’s not it and it’s the vague ‘team values’, the team values that has never had Nicks playing finals, that hasn’t seen us win a flag in almost 30 years… **** those values. Give me the Geelong or Hawthorn values instead.
Yes , his failure to meet basic team values - contest:
Embarrassing the club in the Hawthorn game/debacle with 1 tackle and allowing his opponent to run off him time and time again.
Then last weekend avoiding body contact in a 50/50 contest against a first year Port Player.
I think you can do both things. It’s a little absurd saying that his parents shouldn’t be supportive and attend events etc.His Dad was at the club 2 weeks ago with the Father’s Day thing they did, would be odd flying over for that if you want your son gone from the club
