There's a few games where you can say if we wanted to be a serious finals contender, we shouldn't have lost. Those being Essendon, Hawthorn and West Coast (R6). When you look at our wins, we had a relatively easy draw.

I think the same should apply here. If there’s a master coach who’s made available through mutual break up (Scott or Longmire) then we surprise the footy world. C’mon Freo.

The board yes as they get paid regadless on how Freo performs.

According to some on here that’s alright because of injuries. I would argue we had less injuries than most teams and lost a lot of close games with close to our best 22, but that’s ok apparently

When Richmond failed in 2016 they initiated a full review of the footy department and sweeping changes were made to assistant coaches, while Hardwick was retained. Geelong did a similar thing in 2006. I'd be surprised if we do anything close to that at all

I'm not 100% in the fire him camp but in the likely chance we miss finals from here I hope that we get a statement from the club and coach accepting responsibility on how unacceptable the season would have ended.

I also hope they'd undertake some sort of internal review as to how that happened including a massive look at the coaching and list management staff.

I said it earlier but if we aren't comfortably top 4 by the bye next season then I would hope we've moved him on. None of this extension BS.

Just can't shake the feeling we will end up like the Crows and be bottom 4 next season if we keep just expecting improvement without actively making changes or seeking improvement.

What we did in 2011 was pretty huge and took balls as Harvey was well liked by the supporters.

Same thing would happen if we sack Jlo..lots of fans sooking momentarily until we become a serious side that closes games and makes finals consistently. Then all will be forgiven.

All it needs is AB and Serong to push it and it will happen. If the coach loses those two..it’s done. They are everything for this squad. Brilliant players and brilliant Men. Our Coach is weakling and never blames himself. Never, always someone’s else’s issue. Imagine Jlo captaining the titanic!!!! He would be first on the life raft.

The board doesn't get held accountable, it's as simple as that. IMO you could see this coming early in the season. I get the desire for optimism but at some point there must be some accountability. Placing it all on the coach seems neither fair nor reasonable.
