Yeah I think I'm at the same point mate.As pissed as I was at our game style last night, too early to make a call on JL.
He may well address the areas we were poor in between now and round 1.
But I was really in his corner until last night, but seeing the same deficiencies as last year is very concerning. I’m now in the camp of finals or out.
Not much left out there then is there? No to Bucks and he wouldn’t do that to Jlo.
No to Bevo. He’s just a creepy dude and inconsistent teachings in coaching.
Last year it was never his fault, this year the knives will be out.As pissed as I was at our game style last night, too early to make a call on JL.

At this point I wouldn't be overly fussed if we did let him go, my biggest frustration is we can wail and gnash our teeth over J Lo, but who do we replace him with?
Who was the last assistant coach at the club to go on to senior coach at AFL level? Reckon it was Chris Scott under Harvey.Other clubs have several coaches in the box that are former leaders of an
AFL club.
They know what it takes, and how to implement several gameplans, for and
against, Not just focus on what they are doing.
Or they have assistants who will maybe coach outright one day.
Our club has a history of just doing enough, to win a flag it’s all or nothing.

That was 14 years ago.
You both make good points and I was just thinking maybe there's an assistant out there somewhere who could do the job.Who was the last assistant coach at the club to go on to senior coach at AFL level? Reckon it was Chris Scott under Harvey.

What a load of crap.
The only thing I'd query here is the idea that we shouldn't replace the coach as it effectively forces us to start again, and sets us back.
I think Rhino is a good journo. I think this article makes the best possible case for retaining JLo. I wouldn't sign him yet though. I think it's good for everyone to have everythong on the line in 2024, make or break. It's not like 5 years isn't long enough to produce the goods on field. If in 2024 we look like we did in 2023 then we have already seen JLo's ceiling and it is not going to take us to a premiership.
Hard to argue with any of this.
Two weeks from rd 1 and we’ve clearly reverted back to early last year game plan.
Not gonna work ladies and gents.
