None of them particularly seemed disingenuous though, it seemed like genuine happiness. I don't see any reason to fake that.Players probably aren't going to act unhappy while their employer is holding a camera in front of them
They're probably like "yes, get to run around and do nothing and it'll be blamed on the coach!"None of them particularly seemed disingenuous though, it seemed like genuine happiness. I don't see any reason to fake that.
It could be, it could also be that they genuinely like Longmuir and think he's a good coach. I don't know I don't know any of them personally. They're probably like "yes, get to run around and do nothing and it'll be blamed on the coach!"
Funny, but I see that reaction a bit differently. Watching JL’s body language it sort of says to me he’s not really stoked about the deal (almost sad looking), but will take what he can get at this stage, given it’s that or the bullet. Then the lads’ reaction is sort of one where they’ve been prompted to clap and then clap again and then someone makes a gag out of cheering it on and everyone laughs and claps again because it’s funny, but no one is really respecting the moment. That’s my take.Obviously by the reaction of the players
Oh I'm sure that can also be true. Given the way some players coasted last year, both can be true.It could be, it could also be that they genuinely like Longmuir and think he's a good coach. I don't know I don't know any of them personally.
Think he just found it awkward, which is unusual for someone who has to stand in front of the squad all day and every day.Funny, but I see that reaction a bit differently. A player is not likely to show his true feelings in front of the coach , JT for one didnt seem overly happyFunny, but I see that reaction a bit differently. Look if we win less then 10 games he is gone anyway.
I don't think an extra 6 months pay is really a big a deal.
It's one less excuse for JL and the club if it fails as it takes away the distraction.
Great evidence that people see what they want to see.Funny, but I see that reaction a bit differently. JL does have the body language of a potato though. Hard to define.Funny, but I see that reaction a bit differently. Usually they're not celebrating him, he's celebrating them - completely different emotions involved.Think he just found it awkward, which is unusual for someone who has to stand in front of the squad all day and every day.
Given the list that clown had at his disposal and wasted I have always firmly maintained that he is our worst ever coach.2003 - finals, 2004 - shite, 2005 contract extension and still shite, 2006 finals, 2007 gone…
Sorry if I'm a bit out of the loop - who's JT?A player is not likely to show his true feelings in front of the coach , JT for one didnt seem overly happy
Can we get a shot of Hughes , he would be beaming as another 2 yrs of assured selection
So well articulated as to why as well.‘PR stunt gone wrong’: Dockers blasted over ‘farcical’ new coach deal that ‘doesn’t do anything’

This. Sums up my feelings. This is going to keep the media off his back, not one bit. It’s just a typical freo laugh fest. We are soooo embarrassing
At the end of the day it’ll be either seen as “farcical “ so to speak or actually shrewd , all depending on what jlo was going to be ultimately judged on anyway and that’s winning enough games of football .‘PR stunt gone wrong’: Dockers blasted over ‘farcical’ new coach deal that ‘doesn’t do anything’

The media and football public have always overrated any team/coach that score well. Makes sense, they all prefer to watch that.At the end of the day it’ll be either seen as “farcical “ so to speak or actually shrewd , all depending on what jlo was going to be ultimately judged on anyway and that’s winning enough games of football .
but the real “farcical “ part of the article from that mouth breather king is this part….
“He’s under enormous pressure to get this club rolling, to play a brand of football that we’ve seen from [Craig] McRae and [Matthew] Nicks and where football’s actually going.
What da fuque has nicks done in his 5 years of coaching that’s so revelatory ?
Miss finals again this year and he’ll be nothing more than Mathew knights mkII
