President of the Trades Hall Council and Secretary of the Maritime Union...what sort of dipsh*ts are unions breeding? Your conspiracy theory on 9/11 and it "not standing up to scientific scrutiny" is a load of absolute horse sh*t. So Professor Bracken, did you miss the hijacked planes that flew into the building killing thousands of innocent people??? It's not rocket science. Terrorists hijack planes, fly into buildings, kill many people. I suppose you think the Bali Bombings weren't real, they were put on in a Hollywood studio, or maybe the London terror attacks were a figment of everybodies imagination. Hell, the Titanic probably hit a British submarine disguised as an iceberg!

I'll be happy to pay to set you up in a nice stone cottage around the Pakistani/Afghani border. I'll even fly you over there first class; one way of course.

The guy is a senile old fool. What the hell was on the Radio for!

He is not the Secretary of the MUA - Paddy Crummlin is the Secretary. The President is a titular role

I think you've completely over-reacted. I in no way agree with what he said, but he's not dismissing the event as fiction, as you've tried to twist it. He said that he doesn't believe the official version of how the towers came down. Many people would agree with him, but I am not one.

You've said more ridiculous things in the OP than he did.

He has a point. But so do those who believe what's commonly believed to have happened.

Both theories have their merits, I'm not going to get into the argument because there's an entire thread dedicated to it.
I have questions about both theories and accept I'll probably never know the full details and don't particularly care.

What annoys me is when people push their theories onto you like Bracken has. It's like religion. I don't care, and if I did, I'd investigate it myself.

We all need to respect each others right to hold and voice their own unique opinions, including my opinion that those who believe anyone other than arab terrorists were responsible for 9/11 are complete and utter nincompoops.

Why is this man being pilloried for expressing a view? I personally believe that the official story has more holes than swiss cheese. So do some former CIA operatives

2,000 word article, Seven CIA Veterans Challenge 9/11 Commission Report — Official Account of 9/11 a "Joke" and a "Cover-up", appeared September 23 in OpEdNews. The article details severe criticism of the 9/11 Commission Report by seven CIA veterans and their calls for a new investigation. A brief quote from each of the individuals featured in the article appears below.

Raymond McGovern, former Chairman of the National Intelligence Council and 27-year CIA veteran, "I think at simplest terms, there's a cover-up. The 9/11 Report is a joke."

William Christison, former National Intelligence Officer (NIO) and former Director of the CIA's Office of Regional and Political, and 29-year CIA veteran, "We very seriously need an entirely new very high level and truly independent investigation of the events of 9/11. I think you almost have to look at the 9/11 Commission Report as a joke and not a serious piece of analysis at all."

Melvin Goodman, PhD, former Division Chief of the CIA's Office of Soviet Affairs and Senior Analyst from 1966 - 1990, "The final report is ultimately a coverup. I don't know how else to describe it."

Robert Baer, 21-year CIA veteran and specialist in the Middle East, who was awarded the Career Intelligence Medal upon his retirement in 1997, "Until we get a complete, honest, transparent investigation …, we will never know what happened on 9/11."

Robert David Steele has 25 years of combined service in the CIA and the U.S. Marine Corps. Second ranking civilian in U.S. Marine Corps Intelligence from 1988 - 1992. Member of the Adjunct Faculty of Marine Corps University. "I am forced to conclude that 9/11 was at a minimum allowed to happen as a pretext for war. … I have to tell anyone who cares to read this: I believe it. I believe it enough to want a full investigation that passes the smell test of the 9/11 families as well as objective outside observers."

Lynne Larkin, former CIA Operations Officer who served in several CIA foreign stations before being assigned to the CIA's Counter-Intelligence Center. There, she co-chaired a multi-agency task force, which coordinated intelligence efforts among the many intelligence and law enforcement agencies. One of twenty-five signers of a letter to Congress expressing their concerns about "serious shortcomings," "omissions," and "major flaws" in the 9/11 Commission Report and offering their services for a new investigation.

David MacMichael, PhD, former Senior Estimates Officer at the CIA with special responsibility for Western Hemisphere Affairs at the CIA's National Intelligence Council. Prior to joining the CIA, he served for four years as a civilian counter-insurgency advisor to the U.S. government, and prior to that was a U.S. Marine Corps officer for ten years. One of twenty-five signers of a letter to Congress expressing their concerns about "serious shortcomings," "omissions," and "major flaws" in the 9/11 Commission Report and offering their services for a new investigation.

Have you heard of Able Danger?

i think rotten dot com put it more eloquently than i can remember... something about the pentagon crash looking suspicious to the collective scientific expertise of people who sit at home and surf the net all day. there is being a skeptic and having skeptical approach, and then there is willingly sticking your head up your ass.
