with all the talk of coaches going should sheeds stil be there
his drafting in the last few years is woeful to many recycled or project players and if as he has stated himself next year might be his last
the bombers coming off their worst year ever wiht him as coach should give him the flick get a new bloke in and rebuild.

or newbies starting threads, should it be allowed?

I'm starting to think there should be a 100 post limit before being able to start a thread.

Especially at this time of year.

But then you'll just have people posting more crap to get up that 100.

Anyway, your first post just as likely to be as good as your 1,001st. Post limit would result in less threads but have no real effect on quality.

Disagree, I think a lot of posters would improve over time, and hopefully learn to either look up threads or not post pointless ones to begin with

agreed!! although i know i still post some crap, when i search for my own username and look at the first posts that i did, i feel embarassed at how rediculous they were.

Look this thread is a waste of space. sheeds has rebuilt the club many times and has won 4 grand finals by doing so. so there is no better man then sheeds to build a club and make them champions again. if you disagree then purchase the book KEVIN SHEEDY THE JIGSAW MANand that book will know doubt make you believe that his the right man for the job.

Sheeds should have been sacked a long time ago. He is a laughing stock and we now are the a long way from ever making the 8

Hey Thats Gold, thats crap! Sheedy is the Sir Alex Fergerson of the AFL.
No single man in the entire country has more exprience than Sheedy at coaching,he IS Essendon and knows what he is doing.
He has one year on his contract to fulfill(were not St Kilda) and we will see where we are next October to decide if we are going to offer him a new one.

Talk of sacking him now/next week/last year is just a pointless waste of time.
"Laughing stock"? who is laughing? and if they are... who gives a rats do-do......................

Wasnt aware anyone was laughing at Sheeds? A recent survey amongst young footballers voted Sheeds as the coach they most preferred to begin their careers with...as for the 8, anything can happen next year and as Ive mentioned on numerous occasions, our list is in better shape than at least 6 other clubs.

good to hear thats gold time has passed him by look what his ex assistant coaches have done at freo this year and where the bombers have gone. maybe a year off and a new challange at a new club might help.

Maybe you could try doing some research, we actually have had less older players from other clubs than a number of teams ;) As for project players every club has 4 or 5 we are no different.
Kev can finish his contract. He has been great for us and deserves the chance to rebuild. I cant see us finishing that high on the ladder next year so i suspect we will have a new coach in 2008.

Being a Cats supporter, I'd think you would be worrying more about who should be coaching your team, not other clubs.

fwiw... ducking for cover...:) I think the newbie thread was not a bad effort!?

If on main board it would be swamped full of trolls, and he might be curious about what passionate Bomber fans think. So am I.

But most of you have deflected.... maybe it is a "too hard" or a silly question... even if you don't want to think about such issues, it has a huge bearing on the club!.. probably the most important issue facing EFC!
One day it has to happen .... when?

His more than welcome to have his/her opinion. Few have a problem with that.

However, this issue has been discussed several times over on this board and a simple search would have shown that. He/she could have then added his/her contribution to an existing thread.

Hence the lack of tolerance.

Sheedy has been great for the EFC, every 6-7 years we are a chance of finals success, 84/85...90....93....99/00/01. Lot more success than other clubs. His drafting over the past few years has been great, most core players have come from last few years. Drafting around 2000 and 2001 was woeful and that is waht is costing us. He is in process of rebuilding and whoever he hands of to will have to love the work he has done in getting the first 50 games into so many players to establish themself
