Agree. The lads are running out games far better than any time in the last 5 years. Everyone except Taylor and Stephenson look significantly strong too.
Curtis maybe but people need to stop having a go at Stevo for his build, he‘s a greyhound not a pit bull, it’s not going to change.
 
Curtis is coming from a fair way back from a fitness perspective as a second year player with a limited junior tank. Has built high strength, but is still building his tank for the small forward/half-forward role, which needs a large tank. I suspect this is why Taylor has been shifted to half-forward. May also have a niggle or two.
 
So this guy has turned the team into a bunch of marathon runners.

Not an excuse for the weak efforts, but we physically are weak also.

I don't just blame him though because it's a whole of club approach, what with the recruitment of more runners in Stephens and Fisher.

Stephens' aversion to contact in particular is eye-watering.

Not sure if there is a table for lowest amount of games list through soft tissue injury, if there is my bet we will be very high on the table.
I actually reckon we have had a reasonable season re injury losses. Biggest issue is our depth is so bad we get exposed very quickly. We are a 5 goal worse team without sheezel and his ankle was an impact injury.

Our woes are not on this bloke.
 
Bring back Brad, only he can fix the sports science.
I remember we had a bloke called Paul Turk he was quite good we let him go over $$$$.
We need a strong weight program and fitness program plus try some different training like training in the afternoon or at night as we currently are in no man’s land.

It’s gotta come from the group, they’re just go through the motions. can put anyone in charge and same result, the motivation needs to come from within.
 
There’s only so much Kev can do.

How many players are doing extras? How many are doing top up running?

As an AFL player you simply get exposed for doing the bare minimum which is their conditioning during training and their main gym sessions.

Spot on. They can't even apply themselves with directed workouts and diet as evidenced by the fact that some of them haven't put on an ounce of lean mass in years.
