I will admit I have a minor personal connection and this is the sense I get too. Self promotion is one thing but there's no shortage of young men and women that are good at that these days. That PLUS being a very smart operator is what has got her to where she is.

Okay, but I wouldn’t mind actually seeing some ‘disruption’ instead of being complicit as part of the most conservative Port Adelaide Football Club board since Bob Quinn returned from Tobruk.

I think she's brighter and smarter than most of the board. She's copping it ITT because she was immediately parachuted in as a captain's pick by Koch despite having little real world or life experience, no football credibility, and zero connection to Port Adelaide, while in the next breath he's telling Warren F*cking Tredrea to go away and learn about the club before he'll consider letting him run for an elected position at the end of the year.

It's been reported that she had a very hands on role with the creation of our AFLW programme. I am happy with what they have done with AFLW so far, albeit under extremely trying circumstances imposed by the league. Hence Ransom and everyone else involved get a tick from me on that front.

She is of course as culpable as any other board member re ongoing fiascos such as Hinkley, the PBs, etc.

How was what we did any different/better than any of the other clubs? I’m genuinely curious to know.

As PoPo said, they won a single game. On that metric it was a failed launch.

Must have been some incredible behind the scenes disruption going on for the ‘reports’ to be positive.

Cordone in theory should be our media connected guy in Melbourne, so I can sort of see the theory behind that although in practice it is completely different. Vanstone in theory used to be there for political connections.

Yes Ben helped me out on a few occasions with membership queries etc.

I booked some tix to a 36'ers game a year or so back, but COVID messed that around. Got in touch with the Sixers - and lo and behold who calls me back but none other than Ben!

Went to the trouble of re-arranging our game for us. Again, no trouble for him. What an absolute prince of a bloke
Advised me to get back in touch when we sorted out which game we wanted to go to and he'd fix it.

Sadly, something in our family came up just prior to the gig we re-planned attending, so ended up not going.

Notwithstanding all that, just sayin' that people of that ilk and dedication to genuine customer service are like gold. You just don't get many of them in the world these days.

Friend of my wife had a daughter who worked at the Club. Did a decent job of it too. Walked away because COVID caused temporary staff cuts, and she was one of those.
When things improved, she went back, but was told she could work decent amount of hours, but a fair chunk would have to be"volunteer" work. Weren't prepared to pay her for the hours she put in, so got a job elsewhere.
