~1m a season over 5. Heavily front ended at ~1.25m-ish for first 2 years... as I broke earlier before being shouted down by some random Freo poster. That kind of money would probably mean you would usually get our first + a 2nd in a straight swap. However, if Hogan wants in and it would seem so I reckon we could get a 3-way trade happening.

I think all 3 clubs might swap their future 2nds to even out the trade values. Pick 5, Neale and Hogan are the main pieces obviously.

Freo trade future 2nd to Melbourne, Melbourne trade future 2nd to Lions, Lions trade future 2nd to Freo.

I think this is fair and reasonably simple. Better than stuffing around downgrading picks with port etc.. if Melbourne then want to use that pick for May, so be it. Or they could get Ben king.

Issue is the Dees surely don't see May as worth a top 4(5) pick so i would assume they would look to flip that pick 4 for like 7+20 or something to get maximum value.

I’m not too sure why the stance regarding Neale’s worth on this board has changed so much in the last week with the news of Hogan. Two weeks ago people wanted two firsts. Now we’re adding the 5 + 22? Has anything changed?

I’d completely separate this from the Hogan deal. I believe we have enough currency (Pick 5, Futures) to get that done regardless.

I’ll start out with saying that 5 + 22 is probably fair value for Neale but no way I’m accepting that until the 11th hour on Wednesday.

I’m still pushing for Pick 4 + Future 1st + 40 for Neale + Future 2nd + 77.

If we can get that done prior to the Hogan trade. Send 4 + Lions Future 1st for Hogan + 33. Head to draft with 5, 33 and 40. Be down a Future 2nd.

If Lions don’t budge send 5 + Freo Future 1st for Hogan and 33. Walk away with 5 + 22 as a worst case scenario for Neale and head to draft with 5, 22, 33. Be down a Future 1st.

Anyway I’m playing a hard bargain with Neale and completely separating it from the Hogan trade. Also not interested in Lobb if we get Hogan. Don’t see the value.

I struggle to see why making this a three way trade makes an sense.

NEALE; 4 and 22 there really is nothing to "even up" here, unless it is something more to us. Swapping future picks may or may not do this.

HOGAN; 5 and 22 OR we get into negotiations with the SA clubs. We don't need/want Brisbane involved in that.
