Congratulations to Muddiemoose on winning the highly regarded Best Club Player Award
Muddiemoose had a breakthrough offseason and at times has been unfairly compared against different standards to his rookie counterparts, but he has still been a revelation. Still known for wonderful Moose gifs, he offers much more than that. On the qooty field , he leads from the front, having shown fitness that belies his Ruckman future and the versatility/mobility of a young Dean Cox

as a midfielder in his own right before moving into the coveted Ruck spot vacated by the retiring U2Tigers . Offield, he is an inspiration to all around him , speaking honestly and openly about his experiences and providing an enormous source of support around the club. We happily welcome him into our Leadership Group next year and look forward to seeing him develop further.

Congratulations to tony for taking out both the Captains Award and the Best Rookie Awards
All 3 of our rookies/stooges/amigos have been revelations . have gained recognition throughout the league and are shaping to be future leaders of the club, but tony has stood gone above and beyond to clinch both of these prestigious prizes. Onfield, he has had multiple POTY nominations in recognition of his brilliant simpsons gifs and talent for graphics, but he offers even more than that. He epitomises quality over quantity and was recognised as a strong nomination for All-SFA contention this year . Offield, showing maturity and wisdom beyond his brief qooty experience, he is already a leader, and has devoted hours to assist in tonight's events, despite other commitments. His brilliant Red Carpet entry footage and the banners are all a credit to him. If Metalcrusher has been my right hand man this season, tony has been my left hand man . We proudly welcome him into the Leadership Group next season in an official capacity but unoffiically, he is already a leader, and his dedication to our team is second to none.

Our late season slide continued with a tight loss to the Wonders.

Early in the third quarter, the scoreboard read West Coast Wonders : 11.4.70
Las Vegas Bears : 4.3.27, and the Bears looked like they were in for a good old fashioned shlacking.

Bears bench upon seeing the game unfold.



However, half the team rolled out of the bar and suddenly it was game on.



Unfortunately, too little too late, and despite and Port Adelaide epic style choke, the Wonders held on to take the points.

Ah the Gumbies, I have a soft spot for the red headed step child of the competition, however a wins a win and this was a hard fought victory.

No real outstanding efforts this game, just a good all round team effort.

Cushy kicked a bag and Muddie continued his excellent form, while the forwards spread the love, with RookiePick and Tommycash , along with Its Manbearpig getting in on the goal scoring.

I, on the other hand, had the single greatest 5 disposal game in the history of the SFA, easily taking the 3 Mobbs votes this match.



And I’ll fight anyone who says otherwise.

On another Rainy Day at the BJO, we took on the Roys during Heritage room. In what was the best match threads and matchday leadups of the year and the first and only matchup between these teams, heritage teams and games were released and simmed. It ended up being a mammoth 99 page match thread which managed to deliver both quality and quantity in spades and was recognised by members of both teams as being the MOTY for each.

We defied expectations against our more experienced and highly rated opponents to storm out of the blocks en route to a 2 goal quarter time lead, but this lead was reversed by half time as the Roys found another gear. Unfortunately the effect of travel was felt in the third quarter as we conceded 7 goals and scored just one of our own to slump to a disappointing 8 goal deficit by the final change before the Roys took their foot off the pedal to limit the final margin to 52 points.



Talented rookie tony starred on an otherwise bleak day as he did a demolition job on his opponent royboy2 (59m from 14 to 73 , 7 tackles, 7 marks). Returning veteran CarterS rewound the clock in quite a display against Mooch (84m from 15 to 99). U2tigers (14 hitouts, 17 DT points) was dominant in the ruck but we struggled to capitalise on it. I kicked 2 goals and managed 54 points in my cameo on HFF opposed to my dancing opponent in crime Dingster , whilst Metalcrusher managed 3 goals from limited supply (though he had little impact around the ground).

A huge congratulations to Metalcrusher for taking home the most prestigious award of the night, the Mateflon Medal. He adds this golden pan to his best forward award to cap off a spectacular season where he dominated onfield and offield. As outlined before, he grew into his Leadership Role and never failed to lead from the front or fly the flag. What many don't know though, is the support he offered behind the scenes in the process. Crushy lead early on in the count, albeit narrowly, and gradually extended his lead before finishing outright first in a breakthrough year.
