That is why she is well paid. As a lawyer she can lie through her teeth and doing everything that her employer expects of her.

Likely she gets a big bonus after this one.

That the post-game show jokingly correctly guessed her answers, with her being able to deliver with a straight face shows just how good she is. She takes the heat, next week another AFL **** up will replace this one and we will all move on to that shit show.

If you are going to be incompetent, be continually incompetent. Consistency matters.
She’s not even a good liar. If you are going to come out and spin a story at least try and make it half believable.

She is clearly quite green and learning on the job, but the fans deserve better. No-one understands the rules anymore and she just adds to the confusion.

She needs to be replaced with an experienced operator for the good of the game.

Actually those would be the people that are laughing and riffing about the problems at AFL house. We are laughing at the clown-show

The level of spin is breathtaking.

With the changes to HtB, it was spun as a sign of how great the AFL sling tackle policy had been. Not a case of every fan and media commentator united in thinking the non-decisions had been ridiculous from the start of the year. No, you see, the AFL had actually exceeded perfection and had to adjust.

Now, the one thing I didn't expect with the Scott 50m penalty was to, indirectly at least, blame Scott. We wouldn't be in this mess, you see, if Scott hadn't ALLEGEDLY started to play on.

We're being played for fools here.

AFL are taking the fans for a ride. What a joke. Have ruined the game with
  • gambling (ie gill taking the job today)
  • MRO
  • Umpiring/rules
  • fixture getting worse by the week
  • draft/acadamy
  • fans getting killed
Next step is to save the players the effort of playing and just poll the fans on who should win the game.

And that's just today.

I knew the game was corrupt 10 years ago as I got older & understood how things work it's all business & as much as I hate to admit it Richmond even benefited from it. Yes we were a great team but also take into fact that the we starved supporters & the AFL was looking cash in on big merchandise sales.

Collingwood benefited from it last year, and Carlton & Essendon will probably benefit from it in the future.
Notice how pretty much all clubs with long droughts have won premierships in the last 20 years...
Sydney, Geelong, Collingwood in 2010, Western Bulldogs, Richmond, Demons.

Sydney will win the flag this year I am 100% convinced there clearly best team too, so i won't be upset but growing Sydney is big business the AFL knew that in the early 2000s.

Don't say I am some conspiracy theroist either cause... I don't even believe in that shit & even put my own club on the chopping block.

Gill is now at TABcorp where there is gambling their is always corruption involved.
AFL only cares about the bottom line not the supporters & do not care for a fair AFL competition for all.

Warnie and Mutiah would be so proud.

I wish this was true, but I really think the AFL couldn't care less.
Correct.
There’s no doubt the AFL put plans in place to manipulate results.

The GC draft assistance package vs Norths is a great example of this. As well as changing the soft cap rules to allow coaches to have a big proportion of their salaries paid outside the cap, just in time for Dimma to sign at GC.

Not to mention the crooked fixturing.

In regards to the umpiring it’s hard to blame those poor buggers. They have someone in their ear telling them where they are going well and needing to work on during the game. No wonder we see inconsistency with individual umps, imagine being told to adjust half way thru. And the mid year changing of the HTB rule is a joke. These guys are on a hiding to nothing.

As for their decisions to impose their will on a game with questionable calls in big moments (the free kick against Collingwood for not handing the ball back to the umpire several weeks ago comes to mind), well that’s on them.

The big joke Laura is in on is she keeps turning up defending what is quite obviously human error.

Need to get someone else in the role.
The players know when the whistle blows they have to stop, but now it’s not the whistle it’s the stand call.
I expect the umpires to carry loud speakers this week and no whistles, they can just call out stand.

She continues to put herself out there and embarrass herself.

Seriously, “because the umpire didn’t say anything after the whistle the players were confused so it can’t be a 50m penalty”

Ludicrous. What else would that whistle have meant, and in any situation how would a whistle give the collingwood players any right to run in and tackle?

They are so scared of admitting fault that they are willing to twist almost anything to justify their bs. Even the fact that they admit umpire fault for something different, it’s manipulative, and gives a false sense of accountability

So why was there a 50 metre penalty paid against Windhager who was over the mark but the umpire said nothing except give a 50 metre penalty?

So.in one game it is ok, in a different game it is a 50.
Most times the umpire will say back a metre, but not to Windhager.

So which one is it? And why is it not applied consistently?

Laura Kane is an absolute joke.

Too bad that in the very same round, a player was penalised 50m for going over the mark, despite NO instructions been issued by the umpire prior to the 50
