Leigh Brown gets a week from MRP - HELLO JOSH FRASER?

I reckon Leeroy would have instigated this challenge.

It would have gone something like this;

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Leeroy comes storming into the Collingwood officials office (whoever looks after tribunal matters)

Leeroy: I'm not getting rubbed out for that shit, I didn't even hurt him.
Official: Settle down Leigh, I don't know whether you will get off or not
Leeroy: I don't care, I have nothing to lose, if I lose the challenge, I get a week anyway, let's challenge the bastards
Official: Ok Leigh, let's go see Mick.

The Official and Leigh walk down the corridor to Mick's office, then knock on the door until they are invited in(Mick's a bugger for protocol)

Leigh: Mick, I want to challenge this, I didn't even hit the bastard
Mick: Leigh, settle down, we will challenge it if you want, but don't you want a rest?
Leigh: No. **** no, sorry Mick, I know you don't like swearing, but I don't need a rest, I want to improve, I want to challenge myself.
Mick: Ok, let's challenge then.

Mick then turns to the Collingwood official and says;

Mick: Challenge it with all you have got, get him off.

And history was made.:D

My money is on Leroy thinking all the above and the rest just getting done to prevent him having to actually to ask.
Eating the fridge in the tea room is a dead set give away that Leroy is a bit grumpy.:D

There wasn't half enough grunts or death staring to be a literal transcript of a leigh brown conversation

shows how competative they are for spots, Browny isnt willing to accept the ban and have a 'rest'

It also proves he is not injured or has any 'niggles'

This thread needs a sliver of anvil.

Fraiser is a talented footballer and if he gets in i think it will for for Dawes. I have a a feeling that Dawes will struggle to break back into our team and that will be so sad. I love fraser he is a great bloke and if we can win the flag with him then he should play and possible leave us at the end of the season but i will be sad to see Dawes not play in the finals and am fearfull he could leave us if we drop him for the finals. This is the bad side of having alot of depth becuase there are loyal players like fraser, davis and Lockeyer who all deserve to play in a premiership side.

Theres nothing strong about pinning a guy and smashing him into the ground. It was unneccessary, crude, late, cheap, and illegal. Tackle hard, fine. Body slam, no.

It wasn't unneccessary. Waite had the footy and he tackled him.

It wasn't late, Waite lost the ball in the tackle and Hunt couldn't possibly have known.

It wasn't cheap or crude, it was a bloody good hard tackle on a bloke who just ragdolled like a skirt. You tackle to hurt blokes, and he hurt him without doing anything against the rules.

Agreed. Lifting off the ground then hurling around the body is dangerous. I'd be ropable if one of our players landed on the point of their shoulder or on the neck. Wasn't far off it.

Don't mind hard tackle, but not the lifting and pinning of arms where the player is helpless.

Sorry if it's been mentioned before, but will Josh be at Collingwood in 2011 or? is he likely to get moved on or what. Shame for a No. #1 pick!

agreed. This rule is a load of shit. So Hunt cant tackle as hard as he can cause he is stronger then most blokes? Piss off. Its not like he put him head 1st or anything, just slammed him into the turf. Toughen up princess i reckon

Fraser may well have been a talented player, but be it through injury or just better players surpassing him, hes not in our best 22

Whilst some might debate this, Dawes is best 22 and will continue to be for years on.

What has fraser done better than Dawes this year? And why does he deserve a spot more? Is it just for the sake of him being a great clubman and for playing so many years with us?

If so then O'bree should be in the side for Blair, despite being not nearly as good at this point in time.

Further reason for Dawes not to be dropped, in a team which has issues with goal kicking, this bloke has slotted 22.11 from set shots this season. He may have had a few down weeks but he needs to be there come september.

I get what you mean having players that deserve a premiership maybe not being best 22, but they still deserve it...you cant compromise the skill of the team and the group for the sake of a couple of players...the greater good, even pointed out by MM that the needs of the team come before the individual.

And on the MRP with Leroy, if MM was so intent on giving Fraser his 200th then why are we contesting it tonight? To bring Fraser in for Dawes?

Mistake

I think Dawes is in our best 22 as well but he may need a rest this week and Fraser could come in for him.

That would require Dawes to get dropped first which isn't going to happen. Or did you mean Fraser?

Oh well, at least we tried, and now Josh gets his 200th game on "merit".

I reckon Leeroy's a bit unlucky though, even the wording of the charge seems wrong, as it states Leigh hit Johncock in the body. Well Johncock must have one small head then.:p

Thats suspension is laughable but it doesnt really bother me becuase Frase should get his 200th now.
