Time for some house cleaning.

1) Do not drag discussions or individual posts over here from other threads or boards.

Feel free to respond to those posts wherever they were posted, if you so choose.

2) Enough with the personal attacks. It’s a long season and this one may go the distance, so if you want to remain a part of the discussion, do it respectfully.

We will use thread bans and infractions if necessary.

If you had watched enough of our games, you would already know he became a Mr fix it, which I hate.

As a pure forward, first 3rd of the year (ish) he averaged a goal a game and 20 touches - That's elite for HHF, was then thrown around

he can pinch hit in the middle when you need a different look, but is not a pure mid.

His best position is HB IMO, he is oneof the best disruptors in the game when played here, his ability to impact contests fanatically, either by getting a hand in when he shouldnt, back into packs or apply a smother is second to none. Add in is one touch and straight line running and fearless attack on the man and ball and you have a very good player that sets a standard that very few players do.

No doubt this post gets a few laughs, but that is usually a sign of their lack of knowledge and as someone that has seen his every game, I know for a fact I know more about him than the oppo fans sooking about his trade value.
Mr Not good enough to lock down a position

He is kind of like a rich man’s Jack Petrucelle in reality. It’s who he is replacing on our list atleast

Would both sides supporters dislike this enough to work?

Rich get 13, 22, 60
WCE get Baker, Graham, 30, 40, 48

The simple fact is WCE need picks and can't really trade them away at a pick count deficit.

Pick 22 is from Graham overpay rather than the band 4, end of R2 (39) he's worth on current money. All picks post 22 bumped back 1 spot.

What's the method behind the madness for us here?

can be simplified down to roughly 13 for Baker+30+40, puts Baker at pick17-18ish?

Ill always strongly oppose anything that includes west coast paying pick 20ish value or more, id be absolutely disgusted if we paid that much.
Pick 23 is the strong dislike that im willing to compromise with tbh, ideally we dont get him at all

Let’s just hope toce isn’t drooling over freos draft picks and this years draft as much as tigers supporters are in this thread.

Otherwise with Ralph the Richmond mouth whipping the tiger army masses into a ravenous draft pick haul fantasy land with every new article , the potential for disappointment amongst tiggy supporters only grows bigger and more problematic by the day .

It means by the time trade week rolls around and trades must be struck, the RFC will be left with no option but to save face and deal both Bolten and baker in a manner that is indeed very favourable to freo and west coast

Its called being moved into positions to help the team, it certainly wasn't to help him. He played his best when allowed to settle into either HFF or HB, wouldn't expect you to know any of that though given the quality of your posts to date :)

You should be pretty embarrassed right now :(

So you’re happy with the way the team put in on their last home game on their home deck there was a finals spot on the line?

Ok.
You can't defend the indefensible.
Everything to play for at home and got done.

Young copped his knock in the last quarter from memory.

Freo never really bounced back since losing to Essendon in round 21.

Yep, some more grit, whether it’s brought in from other teams or JL demands it from the current group, is a non negotiable moving forward.

Those that don’t see it just accept mediocrity at that club.

Simon Garlick said it himself, now or never, consider those picks gone !!

A lot of clubs had injuries.
Pearce and Treacey were big outs but you're making excuses.

You lost your last 4 games.
Don't think anyone is claiming that those last 4 are anything other than abject failure (especially the Essendon game, coz the team flagged it as a trap game, actually performed quite poorly and were lucky to be 25 up, but then lost the lead, got gifted at least the chance to get 2 points out of it late but then again choked at the last centre bounce). I think most Dockers fans are claiming the following:
  • Apart from Essendon game, we faced 3 of the end-of-season top 4.
  • Apart from Essendon game, you couldn't say effort was the problem.
  • In general, Freo's chokes have come down to composure and decision making in the heat of battle, the very things you'd expect a young team to be bad at.
  • Freo being a perpetually young team is a reason but not an excuse. List mgmt decisions like trading Schultz a year early look pretty good in terms of the trade itself, but if that trade doesn't happen we're playing finals.
  • Injuries to key personnel are a mitigating factor, especially given we're playing good teams. Not mitigating enough to make it excusable, but it is ironic that we'd probably get less criticism if we totally folded without those players rather than losing closely.
  • Trading in good, experienced players, especially with experience in winning, is the option that gets us there quickest, but isn't the only option. As such, has to be the right trades, not just any trade.

Yeah we played 3 of the top 4 while missing our spine

You've conveniently forgotten Darcy there

Do you agree or disagree that they would've had more impact than baker?

If the argument on here was that we only needed baker to beat port then my counter argument that any of those 3 players would have had more impact is completely valid?
