Which small?
McCarthy, Hipwood, Cameron.
Rayner, McInerney, Robinson/Christensen/Taylor + resting mids.

I'm also a advocate for Cedric Cox being given a go at that role but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Starcevich or C.Lyons could be worth a go in that role as well, I've said it ad nauseam but IMO with 3 talls we don't put enough pressure on the opposition exiting their D50.

Looks reasonably. What do we do when we play Rance and McGovern and they dominate O and intercept everything?

I think the main issue with playing 3 tall forwards is having Oscar down there who really offers very little which is probably why they want to play Andrews forward who can offer something as both a forward and a ruck.

Yeah I concur - if one tall goes it should be O. Leave Hippy and McStay and surround them with smalls.

Ballenden, Wooller, Fullarton, Skinner - whoever is pushing for selection, is tall and can compete.

So only if they’re playing really well in the 2s?

I’m all for McStay being dropped for someone more in form. I’ll be very happy for that to happen.

I'd like to see Cox given a crack in the forward role as well. He kicks equally of both feet and has speed. i think he has trouble hitting targets now so lets give him a go getting it through the middle. His chase is ok, getting better with time in the backline but I think he could go ok as a small forward.

So Marcus Adams has had surgery again a couple of weeks ago and will not return before round one, meaning, it will be unlikely that he'll be anywhere near senior selection come round six, if not later.

Seem to recall one prominent poster taking me to task for even doubting that he'd be right by round one.

Source?

Get your hand off it.

Is Landsberger the 'journalist' who reported it?
ffs who cares which journalist “broke” the “story”.

Some people do hear stuff before it makes the public sphere and the media.

Maybe that person works in a hospital or knows someone who works in a hospital.

Clubs don’t always publicise that x player went in for minor “clean up” surgery.

A couple of weeks ago, a different Lions poster went on to the GC board to mention one of their recruits went in for a minor knee clean up and will be out for 6 odd weeks.

Suns posters were asking for proof or links. Well old mate couldn’t provide a link, because there was none at the time. And old mate couldn’t say, “I’m the proof because I saw the surgery list for the day”.

Anyway, week later Mike Whiting reports x player went in for a knee clean up.

Just because you’re not the first to know, doesn’t mean it’s not true.

It’s not like someone is going to hang their rep for providing such news on such a small bit of news.

What a strange rant.

Imagine someone not believing everything Dylan says with his posting history.

Dylan can have a strange view on club matters, games or players. And can be a polarising poster for his style.

But in terms of news and information, can’t say I recall Dylan posting false information. Just the way he presents such information at times can get people offside.

As for posting history, you’re just a different side of the same coin to Dylan.

Backing McStay in this year. Think he is ready to put it all together. Kind of did last year in many ways. I would be shocked if he wasn't given a good crack this year. We have put too much time into him as a KPF to just toss it in now and start all over again with Wooller, Fullerton or Ballenden. Those lads will have to bide their time in the reserves.

Not sure that was a rant at all, let alone a strange one. Kinda flowed with the thread IMO.

And there's nothing wrong with Dylan's posting in the few years I've been here. To quote Ned Flanders, he might be a negative nelly, but so what?
