I own a domain name which I use for my email purposes, and the address that I originally received these unsolicited messages at was only ever used for the Brisbane Lions. All other services and businesses get their own address (facebook@domain, linkedin@domain, rah rah).

I unsubscribed that email address earlier this morning, and then sent a reply asking how my address was obtained. This was sent from my personal email address, and referenced the other one.
I got what appears to be the generic four paragraph reply within half an hour, so I responded with several reasons why that would be incorrect, and asked him/them to explain themselves one more time.

I've not had a response yet. Though what I do find interesting is my personal email address just got sent the latest proxy EGM email. I most certainly didn't sign up for that at all, especially not with the address I sent an email asking about the legitimacy of getting my other email address.

If Henry Pinskier is actually on this forum - I'm still awaiting your reply. If I don't get a response in 24 hours, it's being reported to ACMA.

If that's the case, then they shouldn't be sending reply emails that say:
That would still be incorrect, and dishonest. I also find the inclusion of the info about the Collingwood supporters telling them 'where to shove' their cause rather odd, it presents as a poor attempt to gather sympathy.

Again, as many highlighted in this thread over n over, those two are mutually exclusive.

you get Leigh only with Williams/Power. Leigh himself made it clear - all you are doing is running an interference campaign and people are seeing you for who you are.

I can and will be voting for Leigh Matthews.

I won't be voting for the Williams/Power bloc, discredited by the disgraceful way the Board handled Vossy's axing.

Lethal wants to protect his mates. That says a lot about the honour of the man but it says a lot about Williams/Power that they'd use him up, like a human shield, to protect them. The members see right through it and want the Williams/Power bloc gone. Then the members will have to elect - in consultation with Lethal - new directors from the grassroots membership and life members to fill the vacancies. I very much doubt Lethal would walk out on the Club when we reach out to him (and after turfing both boardroom factions to give him a clean run of it). We need more Club legends like Leigh Matthews and Alistair Lynch and Jason Akermanis to help rebuild and I'll strongly support them and I think many members will too.

I strongly support Leigh but as you long discussed here prior to my arrival (I've been a long-time lurker on this site and feel I know many of you well enough to offer you a referral to a shrink) defending the Williams/Power bloc is a very uncomfortable idea for many - if not most - members and supporters.

Because I think there is a lot of love here for the Lions and frankly I'll cop a bit of abuse to make my point:

1) Members want Leigh Matthews
2) Members don't want the incumbents to stay including those who are using Lethal like a human shield
3) Members want a change to the Guernsey to restore the original Lion.

I know there are some folk very attached to Lion's Roar but they were well and truly found out today when they tweet-urged their disciples to proxy to incumbent director Paul Williams. That's a bridge too far for most members, I'm sorry to say.

I will try to come back most nights when I have some spare time and deal with issues as they come along. Restore the Lions' Pride isn't going away, our ideas enjoy strong support, we have some strong candidates ready to go and we're not going to let any faction on the board manipulate and scheme their way into excluding the members from their rightful say over the future of our Club.

Your campaign seems to be based on the fact that not renewing Vossy's contract was the wrong decision. With no insight into the football department and the advice that was given for that decision to be made (one which Leigh Matthews has indirectly said was the right one), how can you say categorically that it was the wrong decision?
