Let's all take a chill pill and listen to some Dipak Chpra ore something.....we are all on the same team here, progress may sometimes appear slow but the wheels are in motion, never thought I'd say this but I'm going to borrow a line from Clive Palmer, "we're talking about a revolution here"

Stay focussed and united, good will come from all of this.

United...like Lethal's foot and Angus's backside?

Do it properly or don't bother doing it at all.

You've kind of answered your own rhetorical comment there.

They are doing it properly. You just don't seen to have the common sense to realise that they are doing it in the required manner in order for it to be successful and water-tight.

They aren't doing a "sign here John Citizen" style petition because that would be shot down in a flash by Johnson and Co, because it would not fulfill all legal requirements to call for an EGM.

You want it done quickly? Then you won't get to vote until the AGM in December because Johnson and Co will shoot it down, and we'll find something else to be pissed of at Angus about.

Correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty sure that the only people that would of received the EGM form email last week were the 1500/1600 people who signed up for an expression of interest to gauge the numbers the previous week, I have spoken to quite a few friends who are also full members in the last few day who are all for this to happen but were none the wiser that the EGM form is out there to be signed.

Yep I talked to a friend at work yesterday who was the same.

How do you know this to be the case? There hasn't been an EGM called yet, nor do we know if / when one will be called. It's potentially 49 days from whenever the new ticket sorts itself out. The AGM may be before then anyway o_O

It's these mysterious members that we would have had signed, sealed and delivered if we were manning the shopping centers.. Duh.

FACT: The Williams ticket didn't commit to an EGM until after close of business last Wednesday evening. Less that four business days later they are more than two thirds of the way to the required number.

If we want to dig deeper than that you will need to explain who you are frustrated at?

Is it the Williams ticket for not immediately committing to a EGM (something for which there are good reasons)

Is it the way the Lion's Roar have handled the process since the William ticket committed to an EGM?

Is it members for not using express post envelopes?

Yeah, the articles in the media would've hopefully helped draw peoples attention to the movement. However, everybody who cares passionately about this should make sure all voting members they know are aware of the process. Certainly what I am doing.

You're the one asking me to bring factual information into the conversation? Yet you haven't brought any in yourself at this stage?

I'll defer to Brown Dogs post.

I can only go by what I've read and what I've been provided by the Lions Roar, and the Williams/Power/Matthews ticket. They have provided factual and informative detail on what process is required, and have started that process in a professional and organised manner.

You on the other hand have suggested we go to Westfields in Queensland to get organised, as a speedier option. Ironic, given you are Melbourne based and so am I.

Panthera rather than sit here complaining about how you reckon other people should be doing better why don't you get off your bum and show us how it is done?

Super easy for you to download the request form and print out lots of copies. You could head off right now door-knocking around your neighbourhood. It was so easy for you last time.

They only need 150 more letters, given how good your reckon you are at this that should take you no time at all.

I've had a look at that JPG file.

I can see one express post right in the middle of it.

Well, I know where that one came from then. Curses to all those lazy other people who only sent standard envelopes and stamps. Its an outrage!

Given I live not far from Vic Point mine probably still got there before yours :p

My frustrations are based on the fact that 600 signatures for an EGM should not take this long to obtain.

Yes, they had two options; they sat on their hands for a week working out which to go for, EGM or AGM (after talking in the media for days on end). Are these guys doing anything to force a EGM at all???

They are not the culprits as the ticket should be taking care of these blokes, giving them what they need - not the other way around. That being said, the communication b/w the new ticket and TLR seems minimal from the outside. Also, I expressed my interest last week and have not received any forms back. How many others has this happened to???

Is it members for not using express post envelopes?

No, not at all, why should they post express. My point was that the ticket should have provided them with one via TLR.

Would you be willing to pay, at a conservative estimate, $25,000 dollars (and potentially a lot more) in order to help you get an unpaid, honorary position quicker? Or would you maybe spend a week or so trying to negotiate an expedited and more amicable solution?

An express post envelope costs $5.27 if bought in bulk.
I believe there were 1500-1700 EOI sent to the TLR website to call for an EGM.
So, you are suggesting that the Williams/Power ticket mailed a form and an Express Post to all these people.
So, you're talking about $7,905 investment - unless you are saying that these forms and Express Post envelopes should have been Express Posted themselves - doubling the costs?

And who would pay for the $110,000 to send one express post envelope to each voting member by express post? Even if you don't factor in that the ticket do not have access to a database of the members' addresses...

Then they'd have to pay the same amount all over again when the EGM is called to send the voting forms and meeting agenda to everyone.

Then venue hire, catering, security, lawyers, auditors... Hosting an EGM is EXPENSIVE. I can certainly understand why they spent a week or so trying to break the deadlock.
