Yeh thats where I heard it, Greg Carey's comments ring true with us all, the current board should just step aside, it really is becoming a joke, maybe this gathering will show AJ and his mates that they have no chance.

What's everyones take on Alastair Lynch being present??
Greg Carey has a way with words like no other and summed up the whole situation in one sentence with the current board.

I'd suggest -as a high profile past player with rather large media presence, sick of the mess the club is in. Has also been vocal about member relations and the Paddlepop.

Oh, and in that photo - either looks ready to play, or ready to be a bouncer. I suggest he does some windmills and pretends Angus and Co are one of the Wakelins.

Hi Henry - got an equivalent photo for the team you're assembling as yet? You, and your alter-ego from your website Micky Conson (the only responder it seems), and Cameron Milner?

Hope you received the news from the Club this morning with regard to the email listing leak to you. You and your partner in crime getting a little hot and sweaty?

And a cardboard cut-out of Leigh.

Not having a dig at all, but wasn't Lynch initially sought out by Johnson to try and neutralise Leigh? If so, he'd be pretty frustrated at his (Lynch) being in that photo, I would have thought...

Might of been more Lynch was sought out by Johnson because Leigh has knocked him back a few times.

What would the betting be for this - is there any concieveable way that this lot won't win?

What are peoples opinions?, I am not sure if the likelyhood of the challangers sucesess is, I feel i don't have a grasp on it - on the surface it would seem they will romp home, but voting can be a strange thing, I didnt meet/ see/ hear one Tony Abbott Supporter face to face and he won by a mile, could the same thing happen with angus?

Certain, most likely, maybe, going to be close, up againts it.. I spose I would guess most likely?

Geez, then both of them line up against him (Johnson)... Having a bit of a bad run is AJ.

Wow. What an impressive line-up. Power players.

Has anyone got access to a transcript of the presser, press release or article?

Love to hear what their vision for the club is. I really hope this gets a lot of coverage.

Rob hazel just tweeted - 'A lot of suites, not many on the other side of the camera though'

Can we please get these Guys hooked up with a PR team please! I understand media is not interested in AFL in QLD but surely they could get a few media outlets down there, I hope they do a Melburne presser too!

You read this Henry - from Lethal himself...

But the triple premiership Lions coach said he would only serve alongside Williams and Power and urged Victorian members to nominate Williams as their proxy for the November 13 EGM.

"If you want me on the board you vote for these guys, if they are not successful I'll walk," he said.

A fresh start needs fresh faces. Out with Williams/Power in with Alistair Lynch/Leigh Matthews for a Fresh Start.

Interesting perspective Henry. Speaking from my own personal opinion I like the idea of a significant refresh that also has a few experienced hands remaining on board to maintain continuity of corporate knowledge.

Or, to stick with the "fresh" analogy, even when you bake a fresh new loaf of bread you still use the yeast starter from the previous batch.

How bout this Henry:

Pinskier is attempting to run interference against Matthews and his Fresh Start group by wooing Victorian members who have become the frontline in the battle for control of the club.

Of the 7231 eligible voters — 2185 of them are from Victoria and are likely to vote via a proxy.

Matthews has warned members to “beware of impostors” and stressed he had no connection with Pinskier.

There are now serious questions over the integrity of the EGM after Pinskier emailed Victorian members asking them to nominate him as their proxy.

Human shield blah blah blah.

Interestingly, Williams/Power aren't the only group trying to use Leigh as a "human shield". They are however, as far as I can tell, the only one with his permission to do so.

Henry Pinskier have you been doing many interviews today? There are a lot of journos out there reporting that they have contacted you for comment and to put your case forward but you are not returning calls.

Mac Tolliday is in there, I'm pretty sure.

I think it is (third from the left). Not a super clear photo, so can't say for absolutely certain.

Hope it is him. Mac is a big Fitzroy supporter and an advocate for the return of the Fitzroy/premiership lion to the logo and jumper. Also a regular attendee at Fitzroy games in Melbourne when he is down for a Brisbane game.

In his latest statement Angus's insists that the club has no relationship with Dr Pinskier, other than the fact he is a member, answers nothing. The question that needs to be answered is, what relationship he has with any current board members?

Perhaps Angus, Milner and even Demetriou need to be asked publicly just who and what their involvement with each other is, and how deep it goes?

This drama is not just mr pinkster...others are knee deep in it as well..

Lets find out who........and WHY?

a paw note:

I think these people have sorely underestimated the members/supporters of this club..

..we will not just sit back and be mushrooms fellas, we are here to stay.....and so is OUR club.

Alastair Lynch's entry into the race for the Lion's board is very welcome. He'll be an excellent addition to Leigh Matthews and the new directors not associated with any of the brawling boardroom factions.
