Regarding ticket sales/swaps: The AFL Grand Final is protected under Australian law by anti-scalping regulations, which forbid tickets to be sold at more than 10% of their face value. Offering tickets at more than this will be deleted; continuing to try to scalp tickets will result in bans.

BigFooty does not guarantee ticket sales or swaps. It is entirely at your own risk, please make sure you trust the poster in question. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Just had some Cat 3 tickets charged to my card. $404 for likely nosebleed behind the goals is pretty ordinary (but my sympathy to those who might miss out).

This will be the first and last time I go to a GF if this present sh*t fest ticketing system continues.

We went in 2003 and it was simply a matter of lining up at the Gabba ticket office once the outcome our PF (which was in Sydney) was known.

Old fashioned but simple and effective and we ended up with reasonable tickets.

This automated Tiketec/Ticketmaster system is utter horseshit and not worth the stress.

Last time for me too.

If we make another one in my lifetime, I'm staying put and watching it on a big screen somewhere

Correct its a disaster and I would say the same, however i'm 26 and have supported the club my whole life, and never been to a GF because I was around 5. So right now feels like the world is caving in, I imagine I'd be more ok with this if I'd been before.

I’m really confused.

Account debited for $744 when my old man and I are both P1’s. One full price and one pensioner.

Does that mean that despite us being Foundation Members and September Members since it was first introduced that something has gone amiss that we haven’t got the best category.

You're not guaranteed the best ticket, you're guaranteed a ticket.
Some here including myself haven't got anything yet despite being priority 1.

I reckon he would have had a concession ticket which is cheaper, but don't quote me. So you would maybe still have 2 category 1 tickets

Hmmmm this was a question I had... I too have just been debited $372 for what I assume will be a category 4 ticket.

I was wondering if there was sub-order within Priority 1, where it provided tickets to the longest standing members first. I've only been a member since 2020 so I would understand if this were the case.

But from what you've said it's not like this at all 🤦

For what it's worth I'm very happy with category 4, as I want to be in the top tier.

It's literally called a ballot, and I believe that's what it is. I got cat 4 as well.

You got 2 category 3 tickets... at least that is the closest to $744 that come out of your account >> $404 + $343 = $747
TypeAdultConcession
Category 1$448$381
Category 2$437$371
Category 3$404$343
Category 4$372$316
Category 5$328$279
Category 6$274$233
Category 7$185$157
R'VIEW / STAND$155$132

I doubt we’ll get it and perhaps they don’t know, but I’d like to understand from the club how Foundation Members of the club since 97 and even before that and then taking out the September Member since it was first offered get trumped by those that weren’t.

I know I should be happy that we get a ticket but I’m genuinely pissed off that as a priority one member we still missed out on Category One tickets; I mean what’s the point?

Theres no priority for how long you've been a priority 1 member, all P1s in the same pot. It is literally called a ballot. Not saying I like the system but it is what it is.

Just got charged $404. Anyone know what that maps to? I'm assuming it's not standing, I've sprained an MCL so not keen on that.

Category 3. Let’s sit together

Tier 1 member here and just got charged for 3 category 4 tickets. Abit bummed that we will be in the nosebleeds but excited to be going. I think the club should have more membership tiers, not just the September add on. Foundation and Platinum members should be given the best tickets first in my opinion.
