Regarding ticket sales/swaps: The AFL Grand Final is protected under Australian law by anti-scalping regulations, which forbid tickets to be sold at more than 10% of their face value. Offering tickets at more than this will be deleted; continuing to try to scalp tickets will result in bans.

I thought non Collingwood supporting Victorians hated the Pies with a passion and would support any team playing them or you saying Pies fans would buy up a lot of those MCC/AFL memberships?

1. Pies fans make up a substantial enough proportion of the AFL/MCC membership to buy up much of the respective reserves on their own.

2. Neutrals making themselves Lions-for-a-day tend to be less raucous in their barracking than actual Lions supporters.

A massive long shot but if anyone would be willing to DM me a barcode in the next 10 minutes I'd be forever grateful! It's a lifelong dream to attend a granny but I gave my ticket to my old man so he could also attend his first one.

Obviously I would lose the barcode afterwards and never use it ever again.

Both of those segments are oversubscribed and given how popular Collingwood is we'll see a substantial of those supporters getting a hold of those tickets. Neutrals are just there for the day.

I sat in the AFL members for 2001 to 2004 Grand Finals. Those Collingwood GFs felt like I was back in the dark old days of Victoria Park. Surrounded by Pies. It will be the same this Saturday.

That said in 2003 I had plenty of room around me by half way through the 3rd quarter.

We will never fly Deathstar again after 2 last minute cancellations, fly Virgin now and am happy to pay a bit extra for the reliability factor.... they have been great so far.

Dodongo airlines were a thing back in the day. Dodongo should really look at starting Dodongo's own airline.

Yeah mate we are risking them flying out of the GC Friday night. Figured if shit hit the fan that way would hopefully still be able to grab a flight somewhere Saturday morning.

Also figured given how much shit QANTAS have copped lately they probably want to be on their best behaviour, with a new CEO etc as well. That’s what we’re hoping on anyway and to be fair I’ve flown them a few times and never had any real problems. Maybe a slight delay but such is life.
