I’d suggest the Grand final probably has more to do with it. Tonight was basically the same as last week.Last week has shaken them to the core.
Season altering loss that one last week just the sort of stuff you struggle to come back from.
Won away finals the last two years and made a GF…bit rich mateBrisbane have always been pretenders
What is wrong with you people?Saints were ok against the Cats at that crud hole ground which no team seems to win at besides the Cats.
Saints are much better suited at the G.
That's why i said Brisbane aren't good as us we covered Rance with Grimes, Vlastuin, Broad & Astbury we had depth.Sorry but they are completely different players.
You guys had Houli, Vlastuin, Short who offered plenty of run out of defense. You could get away it as Houli was arguably the best decision maker from defensive fifty.
Brisbane's back six has always been one dimensional until Coleman elevated his game over the past 18 months. Rich was excellent but I reckon Coleman's kicking is just as good and there's no one to step in now.
Completely incorrect. We are squandering a flag window as we speak.Where are the Lions at ?.
Is it No Man’s Land ?.
I’m guessing No Man’s Land.
Rance is one of the most overrated defenders in history. That's why i said Brisbane aren't good as us we covered Rance with Grimes, Vlastuin, Broad & Astbury we had depth.
Losing Rance was massive though everyone was writing us off & we strugged for a while after he went down he was the voice the general.
You just proved to me that u know nothing about the game.Rance is one of the most overrated defenders in history.

The only factor going in the opposite direction for Brisbane is their recent good fortune with the father-son rule. This time next year they'll likely have two recent top 3 picks in the Ashcroft boys and another top 12 pick in Jaspa Fletcher. You only have to look at how quickly Collingwood turned it around with the acquisition of their F/S pick Nick Daicos to see how powerful it can be. The Ashcroft boys are the real deal so Brisbane would have to do a lot wrong to mess it up with those two on their list.A team can only have so many cracks at the top 4/semis/prelims/gf's before their best players are older and because they have finished high their draft picks haven't been good so they fall down the ladder. Brisbane should have won in 2020 when they had a home GF but blew it and last year was a coin flip they could have won

Like you said they won without him. Multiple times in fact. Media darling of the highest order which inflated his standing in the game. You just proved to me that u know nothing about the game.
It is but at some point the bubble has to burst and we drop a little. I was hoping we had one more crack at it but if not so be it.Its very difficult to climb the mountain every year your side been top 4 since 2018? give or take thats 6 years which is a very good run at it.
0-2 is hardly the end of the world we started 1-4 and still managed to finish top and make a GF.
Brisbanes Peak in this current side was 2020-23.Premiership windows typically last between 3-5 years and Brisbane are theoretically in their 6th year of a window after finishing top 4 in their last 5 seasons, with the exception of 2022 but still managed to make a prelim that season anyway. Kind of seems like Port Adelaide's premiership window in the early 2000s which essentially shut after they won the GF in 2004 and perhaps the we're witnessing the same thing with Brisbane finally making a GF last year.
Zorko just turned 35, Lester is turning 32 this season, Lyons is turning 32 this season, Neale is about to turn 31, McCarthy is 30, Daniher is 30, Charlie Cameron will turn 30 this season and McInerney will turn 30 this season. That's 8 guys who usually play every week (and some are very influential) who will all be on the wrong side of 30 by the time finals roll around. Maybe it's just a simple case of the age demographic of Brisbane's list tipping too far on the older side?
