You may want to think of trading slightly differently. You give away something that's surplus to your requirements for something that's surplus to the other party's. Really the only way it works to overall advantage. We need yet more midfield depth, so to trade one of the stalwarts would be a mistake imo.

Totally agree we need more KP depth - in fact there's a starting spot for someone even remotely competent.

I will think of trading the way I see it, ie. you have to give up something to get something. I see our dire need for KP talent.
I really like Barlow, but the game is called football for a reason - Its played best by foot and if you cant kick very well, you wont play very well.

Pretty surprised to be honest as he can barely get on the park but he is still only 25 and wouldn't be on much coin.

Hawks are going to delist him, Freo would be getting him for nothing. I reckon we are getting him to pick his brain, Lyon will want to know the Clarkson game plan inside out. He will be a fringe player at Freo if he comes.

So do you really like him or think he doesn't play football very well?

I do think Ellis is likely to come to us during the free agency period but I don't really rate him much at all to be honest. If he could get himself fit, he would bring run and carry to the side and the only play I can see him replacing is De boar.

What I think we need is another key defender because I just don't rate Dawson at all and McPharlin is getting on. We are set in the middle and in the forward line it's just the backline that we can improve on and then I have no doubt we will be the team to beat next season.

Its not rubbish, simply trying to find a way to get some KP talent to the club.
I'm not on the Barlow bandwagon, his kicking is suspect, and yeah he gets a lot of the ball, but what's the use when he turns it over regularly.
Its not Dockerland here mate, everyone is entitled to an opinion - might be rubbish in your eyes, but our lack of key forward /back talent is rubbish in my eyes. What's going to happen in two years? We will have a gun midfield and no KP talent. Hawthorn proved that making the hard decisions - Kennedy (famous name for Hawks) got them some very useful talent in return. Kennedy is every bit the player that Barlow is and they traded him. 1 part of their premiership puzzle.

Barlow is our third mid. Kennedy wasn't getting a game

In what way could Ellis replace DeBoer. Ellis is a flakey half back flanker. Do not want him at all.

Got it working now, clicking the game day audio does it. Not keen on Ellis at all! When does freo announce it's delistings? A bit more talk of buddy to freo possible?

Anyone keen on chapman for one year?

he's playing a forward pocket and having excess players in this position not for me!
