Harry Himmelberg is the dream for Port from the free agents. He's been fantastic since he has gone down back.
I don't think his role that he excelled in last year (intercept/rebounding defender) is the type of player we splurge on in free agency.

Great player, but haven’t we drafted to cover the athletic back? Plus Finlayson has occasionally played down back. And up forward, Port has quality alternatives.

If Port are going to target a FA, I would hope it’s McKay. He is the best available, ready to go now and if he ended up at Port, could you imagine the North supporters? I do think he will re-sign with Norths though, but we also said JHF wouldn’t come home in 2022….

The dream free agent from that list is clearly Mark Blicavs. CHB for the next 4 years, with flexibility to play wing, mid and ruck if required.
Mark Blicavs would be 36 years old by the time he'd played CHB for us 'for the next 4 years'.

Apparently Nasiah is great mates with Isaac Keeler, so that might make it that little bit harder for us to get him.
Did hear that he was very homesick throughout the year. Likes rhe saints its just not in SA
I guess Ross Lyon is the new variable too

Oh s**t, i thought he was like 28.

Would still be a good get, but maybe for 2, not 4 haha.
lmao i was right
Nah bruv, he got drafted at the end of 2011 he's at most 29 now since no obviously no one above 18 gets drafted. so that terrible piece of assumption means he'd be 34 playing for the next 4 years.

Obviously McKay priority 1 and I would be interested in Gresham .
We won't have a first rounder in 23 and 24 if we get Pickett so we should be looking at bringing in a free agent in in 23 and 24.

Is Lade jnr playing under age rep footy? I think Francou jnr was a bottom-ager for SA this year.

In before the AFL change the rules on us lol

Dante is the best fresh from the draft first year ruck I've seen at Port. He was competitive from day 1 as a 17 year old against mature age sanfl ruckmen, many of whom were straight off an AFL list.

Sound ruck technique, mobile and plays a bit angry. Can play forward as well. He could surprise a few in 23.
His brother is in the next draft;

Vigo Visentini

Height: 199cm
Weight:
D.O.B: 05-09-2005

I would not get excited about 2023 being a year for father sons

Oliver only played a couple of games (under 16’s) last year for something like less than 9d a game (off the top of my head)

Without watching him that says to me he’s miles away from being considered.

Lade is coaching at saints or somewhere isn’t he? It went elsewhere? So kid would be playing junior footy in vic I guess but I’ve never heard of him and a quick google search shows nothing.

It looks like we will have to wait for 2024, where rome and Louie are showing very good signs.
