No way , Add on 1 more first round pick . Houston is 2 times AA . If you can get pick 13 for Noble then Houston is valued way more than him. Richard is a utility player and 4 th round pick will do the job .

Houston is elite , he makes a difference most games he plays in apart he’d be a top 5 player at Collingswood straight away and could well be a difference maker for them , especially with him in their side they could quite conceivably finnish top 4 or higher so a first round pick next year would be most like , so with13 and 17 say it mightn’t be quite enough , maybe Richard’s and we give back a late pick .
Would mean Houston for Lukosios , Richard’s and a 1st round pick this year . I guess it’s worth it but losing that elite is hard to replace

Joe Richards IS OUT OF CONTRACT....
Pick 13 and whatever you give us alongside Richards WILL NOT get you near Houston. Keep dreaming.
It looks very hollow. You trade an A-grader and get bits and pieces back. Similar story when we gave up Shaun Burgoyne.
How confident can we be that pick 13 will be any good? Look at Sinn. Would he be a decent return for Houston even with Lukosius and Richards thrown in? Hard to say even now after three years on our list.
We don’t come out of the Houston trade ahead unless pick 13 or Lukosius or both can achieve what Houston will over the next 6-7 years.

Haven't read through this whole thread but looking like it will be 13, 23 and Richards for Houston which would be an ok result in my opinion. Dan is 27 and we ain't winning nothing next year anyway with Ken in charge.

Err just an FYI... Richards is out of contract so Collingwood have literally zero stance on him, period. Massive difference there. Port can decline the offers for Houston of not good enough and offer a pick in the 3rd or 4th for Richards. Pies either accept that or he gets delisted and picked up. Seriously... dumb pies supporters coming on port board trying to talk up Richards for Houston.

If that 23 turns into Lukosius, then perhaps. As a minimum.
Find it rather amusing all the spuds from Carlton 1st and then pies talking about Houston as if he's just an average player for a 1st round pick of either 11 or 13
He's literally been a top 5 consistent player the entire season of 2024 according to champion data. Only player to remain in top 5 and probably only dropped out final round due to suspension.
Top 10 all last season too and yeah, both AA. That and one of the best field kicks in the competition who can definitely play other positions that is just "half back" ffs..
Funny how with Petracca the Vic's are immediately stating he's more than 3 1st round picks minimum.. then Melbourne saying pickett has to remain there in contract and more than 1st round etc etc.. plus shai Bolton being 2 1st rounders but a Port player? They are apparently worth pick 11 or 13 alone according to Vic's and media muppets.
If luko nominated the crows we all know that club would have pushed for gcs to take a future 2nd. I really doubt gcs would have gotten much more than steak knives pick upgrades on top of that.
While im happy to send a future 1st to them if we get 2 1sts for Houston I would want a 2nd rounder coming back in the luko deal.
We should do the deals separately.

If we don’t trade Dan then it’s saints second plus a cpl of pick swaps or our 2nd and pick swaps in gcs favour.

If Collingwood refuse to trade Joe Richards to Port Adelaide, Joe Richards plays for Port Adelaide next year.

If Lions are perhaps after a KPF now that Daniher has retired. Thoughts on seeing if Lord would consider being traded to Lions with something else, whether picks or another player 
for Lachie Neale to finally be the Port player he should of been? Especially now that he's lead the lions to their premiership now. That's if he'd want to even more from QLD. Would still be a solid pick up for the midfield even at his age.

I see the likely outcome as Gold Coast get Noble and a future 1st from Collingwood, we get 13 and Luko from Gold Coast and Richards from Collingwood, Collingwood get Houston. Maybe something extra thrown Gold Coast's way from Collingwood, but who knows with the way that club bends over at the trade table.

Neale a bit old IMO, we should trade Lord for Will Ashcroft instead.
I agree with this take but does anyone actually trust the club to get a better return than what is being reported today? I am fully expecting 13/23/Richards with 23 or F1 then on traded for Luko.
Feels like the previously agreed deal with Melbourne falling over has backed them into a corner in that they’ve already told Dan he can go. A stronger club would have knocked it on the head and held Dan to his contract given no-one else is offering a deal that warrants trading an under contract 2x AA. But as is the Port way, they’re seemingly happy to ship him off to a rival contender for a mid first and some additional pieces. At least it’s not Owies and a F1.
Is Luko worth 1st round pick ? He is not even 22 player in Dimma side . Why we have to pay 1st round for him . We also taking his big contract from GCS . Future 2nd or Soldo compensation will do the job .We should draft 2 solid first rounders with Huston compo .
