Game is over by the looks of it.

He should carry Florida and Virginia at the very least, Indiana and NC aren't without a shout either.

With California, that will see him well past 300.

Once the US voters see that Obama isn't God, and that spending all that money on health care wont improve much (could worsen things through bureaucracy), increasing taxes isn't the answer and "investing" in green energy will blow out prices.. they might think the last 7-8 years hasn't been too bad.

yeah your right..

the US should stick with letting their citizens go untreated for disease, giving the upper class tax breaks whilst allowing rampant poverty and destroying the planet for future generations..

America **** Yeah

**** some people are ignorant tools. it's so easy to blame dumb dubbya.

bill clinton's (a democrat) drive to increase home ownership by promoting paper-thin downpayments and pushing for ways to get lenders to give money to first home buyers with less than desirable finances and incomes has lend to the mess America is in. the erosion of lending standards pushed up house prices by creating huge demand, and then waves of defaults by people who should have never bought a home in the 1st place.

so when banks then package these loans and sell them off to other banks, we get the domino collapse effect witnessed over the past year.........all of them are affected. poor standards and poor health of the financial industry brought on the mess.........i repeat, through policy advocated by Clinton.

No it hasn't that is a line run by the Republicans to blame the democrats!!!

8 years wasn't enough for Bush? Seriously get some perspective on Bush's economic and fiscal policies before you selectively point to some rash decisions made towards the end of Clinton's term. Not to mention McCain's appropriation of the the house rebuying scheme.

I'm going to pre-empt the networks.

President-elect Barack Obama... :)

If Obama takes down Colorado, Florida, Indiana & Virginia, which he is ahead in all, that will leave him with 267, he'll need just 3 more for the win. Could Montana be the unlikely 3 votes he needs? He's ahead there with 5% counted.

Fact, Clinton screwed up and it was only convenient the shit hit the fan when he was long gone. lending products featuring 'honeymoon' rates or payments of only interest in he 1st few years of the loan was the reason for this. the seeds were planted in his administration though his 'Home Ownership Strategy' policy.

Thankgod the plan to let 1st homebuyers tap into their IRA and 401k's to put a down payment wasnt approved, or else, people would have literally lost it all.

I agree with those before me who say this restores faith in the american electorate.

Congratulations to the US voter for having the guts and doing the right thing. Overnight the international image of the country will be restored significantly.

The "right" thing only when your guy gets in.

ffs look at the zombies on CNN... YES WE CAN, YES WE CAN --> cue hip hop music
