Where is Brent Stanton, clearly a more improved and overall better player than Roberts-Thompson. Pretty sure he won't finish in the top 15 in the best and fairest in his 3rd year, while Stanton finished third in just his second year. (I know Sydney are a better side and all that, but still)

Pretty good list though, sure to cause some controversy.

Love to see controversy, and always love to see the criticism like my top 100 at the start of the year. Brent Stanton is a great young player, but you have to take into account that Lewis Roberts-Thomson at the start of the year was certainly one of the worst players in the competition, and he has come along way to play in a premiership side and come close to winning the Norm Smith Medal i am sure, also he has shut me up as I was a big critic of him earlier in the year to mid year.

Surprised that Luke Hodge is named at number 5. I could think of at least 10 other players a head of him. Thought Spida would have been higher.

Define "Most Improved" and what you criteria you based your call on!

If Ben Cousins is ahead of Dean Cox ill eat my hat, Cox is clearly the best Eagles player at present.

Bit rough on Brad Johnson in my opinion. For starters you have Ryan O'Keefe well ahead of him, yet they both mainly play forward and Johnson kicked more goals, took more marks and got over 80 more disposals, all in four less games.

I'd also have Tredrea a lot higher then 18, and Daniel Cross would have to be one of the most improved, came from not getting a regular game to the third highest possession winner in the league

My effort was better, I only had one glaring omition in Russell Robertson which I forgot. Ben Rutten has to be top 10, he should probably be top 5

Embers, it's not about whose is better, because a Top 50 is based on your own opinion of how you viewed the season. Cox better than Cousins. Well, Cousins was clearly the best player in the league, not only because he won the Brownlow Medal and AFLPA MVP, but he was the best as viewed by me.

milne is nowhere near top 50. okeefe at 32 is a bit high but good effort anyway. kerr sh*ts on milney any day of the week

Yeah.... and that is why Kerr is at no.33 so....

I do over-rate O'Keefe.

Bulldog1954 and worthy stole my thunder.

Johnson should be a bit higher, and O'Keefe shouldn't be in the top 50. Cross was the second most improved behind Rutten, with Gilbee and Tuck next.

Crawford definitely deserves to be included.

Nathan Brown obviously hasn't been included because he spent a large majority of the season out with injury. I would have thought Bruce did enough to qualify, though.

All in all, that is one of the best lists I have seen, Lonie. I don't really have a lot of negative things to add.

No spot for Crawf, i can see quite a few i'd have Crawf in front of, but hey, that's just me, not a bad list.

Crawford was at no.51 - It was out of he and Scarlett for number 50 (I shortlisted 50, which actually was 51). I figured I don't have enough Tall defenders, and Scarlett got the nod because of that
