I'm sure if you ever wrote a thing about him before now, it would be about how useless he is etc, but now he is leaving St.Kilda, It seems you are saying he is great? 'window officially closed'? So Ball must be an amazing player?

Ball will play for less at Collingwood than the new deal the Saints have put to him. Ball has been loyal to the Saints since being drafted at No. 2 in 2001, but wants to play where he feels wanted as a key contributor.

If we had no depth then Ball wouldn't be leaving in the first place, Einstein. He's leaving because our midfield depth is so good that he can't be guaranteed a spot in our best 22.

Compare that to West Coast where Ball would be your no.1 midfielder.

Clearly Luke Ball isn't the clubman everyone thought he was! Got offered a 3 year deal with one of the best H&A teams EVER, a team he captained and won a B&F at, couldn't take it that he won't get as much TOG (but still be a required player), couldn't take it that St Kilda weren't gonna offer him as much cash, so he packed his bags and left.

Mercenary piece of crap. At least Judd had a reason for leaving. Ball missed 5 games of the year because of form, hardly a fringe player.

he was a member of the 2001 super draft which included the 2 superstars in hodge and judd, ball's destiny was to follow these 2 players and earn that status.

but St fail got their Karma and landed the worst player of that draft.

Maybe only just a touch behind Partyguts Hodge at the moment but will benefit from more game time and goes past him in the coming years.
